That's a good question I'm not sure of the answer, but i will say something, and if someone disagrees then we can point out different views and see what is more acceptable.

Firstly, Since as sikhs we do not eat meat, it would be foolish and hypocritical for us to sell/give/feed another human being meat.

However, If you would agree to the fact the human teeth , etc are not made to consume meat (Also mentioned by Bhai Sahib Bhai Randheer Singh) Versus the teeth of animals who do consume meat and eat other animals.

In this sense, It is logical to say we can feed the dog/animal meat (obviously not prepared at home, but i'm talking about dog food in tins/cans that you mentioned).

Another argument would be since it's dog food, and since dog's don't eat what humans can usually eat (roti with daal and other things) It may be malnourshing to feed the dog with just roti and other things we humans eat. Thus, it is appropriate to feed the dog what you may get off shelves from stores prepared especially for dogs.

I'm not very informed on the diets of dogs, but maybe you should look into the fact if dogs can sustain a healthy lifestyle without meat, etc. Just like humans, if so, Feed the dog something vegeterian. I suggest you discuss your options with a FEW vets in order to develop an informedand healthy decision for your pet.

Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, vaheguru ji ke fateh

If i have said anything wrong please think of me as your uneducated sibling who wants to learn from you. Please provide your views.
