says who? some of the bhagats cut their hair, if it was in gods hukam for them to cut their hair why would His hukam not be repeated on other bhagats? God was the same back then as he is now, are all those who are saying not to cut their hair superior to the brahmgyanis who's verses were added in Guru Granth Sahib Ji?

If you read the bhagats Bani in Maharaj, there is only selected Banis of their, which Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji Maharaj put in Maharaj. Any of the Bhagats writing that did not go with Gurmat was never included in Maharaj. Also the Gurus have corrected the Bhagat's in Maharaj where the Bhagat Bani did not go with Gurmat. Bhagats became jivan mukht, which means they reached the state of Sri Waheguru ji Maharaj, by making mistakes and then correcting themselves. Let's take the example of our Gurus. Satguru Sri Guru Amar Das Ji Maharaj became he came across Sikhi use to follow Hinduism. It was when Satguru met Satguru Sri Guru Angad Dev ji Maharaj that he took up Gurmat. When every Bhagat were given the darshan of Gurmat they let go of there old ways and started follow Gurmat. The Bhagats realized in order to be jivan mukht, we need to follow Gurmat. Gurmat says to keep your hair uncut. No Bhagat went against Gurmat.

The bhagats wud v only kept their hair because they felt there was no need to cut it. The society tells us to do all these things but the Bhagat showed society differen . Thats all i can say on this 1

The lord is everywhere, thats why guru ji faced his feet towards the Kaaba so all these other quotes mean sh**te....

We are meant to get rid of the body, it is stated as the 9th thing to get rid of- it is a false maya illusion as is every single other thing with an image..

Freedom to keep the hair shows an unwillingness to go along with society and with the demans of tyrants(etc Moghuls)... But guru ji never said become Attached to the body and to have pride in it- That constitutes two of the 5 theives.....

This will be the greatest downfall of sikhs of our time.....

Where in sikh history does it ever say that Guru Amar Das ji or even Guru Nanak Dev Ji for that matter kept their hair and wore paghs....

There are pictures that were drawn according to the imaginations and fancies of the illustrators, but no viable proof...

A sikh is a student of truth, we back the knowledge up with Gurbani, not chinese whispers.....

You can make up your own reasoning to satisfy the mind, but Satguru never placed one shabad in Maharaj, that was of a person who didn't come to follow Gurmat. The journey for the Bhagats was hard, but they all came to terms on following Gurmat. Read Sri Mool Mantar Sahib da paat with close attention. The line, By Guru's Grace is very clear and definitely a substantial part to why hair is kept uncut by Sikhs.

Where in Gurbani or in Sikh history does it say the Gurus did cut their hair? Here is a hint to your question. Read Sikh history books about Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj. Uncut hair was one of the first orders, Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj gave to Bhai Mardana.

But if all the Granths, oral history of Sikhs are lying and/or made up. Then you should take this up with Sri Akal Takht Sahib and present your case to them. Seems like you got some hard hitting evidence to prove against the Khalsa Panth.

Answer this last question of mine. Since you think the whole Khalsa Panth is lying and decieving people into keeping hair uncut. Then which person in your mind made up the conspiracy, so that Sikhs must keep uncut hair?????? Get down to your truth searching and get the chinese out of your ears.....lol

<img src='http://www.sikhsangat.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> NO NO NO NO!! Bleaching is not allowed! Both bleaching and cutting hair is unacceptable. Both are doing beadbi to your kesh! Penji, just stay stong, and read other posts, which have been posted on here.

vahigurujikakhalsa vahigurujikifateh

Why is bleaching not allowed??? How is it beadbi? I personally think things like this are taking younger generation away form Sikhism.

Guest Feel the pain

If it was a choice between not getting married and not living grihast jivan to make next generation of sikhs and living a life of solitude i would say to my sisters do what needs to b done. You shud tell the fanatic men to live a day in your shoes b4 writing another word . Some might thing this is a corrupt view some may block this comment but unless we discuss issues openly we will bury topics under the carpet along with the future of sikhs
