from what i have been told, Sikhs cant be boxers because if the boxer got cuts to the face, they may require stitches,in order for the doctor to do the stitches, it means the hair needs to be shaved, i know quite a few sikhs who want a career in kickboxing and boxing, but cant because of the darhi.

i have also heard that it is to do with the fact that the darhi covers the neck which makes it dangerous for them in case they get hit 2 the throat.

what is a sikh?

or

who is a sikh?

Everyone in the world is a Sikh of the True Guru whether they know it or not

in that case, explain this tuk

bin satgur kinai na paaio bin satgur kinai na paaiaa

if everyone is a sikh of the true guru, then how can anyone be without the true guru?

then who is guru jee refering to here?

also

gur satgur sikh jo sikh akhae so bhalke uth har naam dhiave

and if everyone is a sikh. then why wasnt this post put up when mike tyson was winning all of his fights or prince naseem?

they are sikhs too huna?

a sikh should at least refrain from the 4 bujjar kurehits and be working towards taking amrit or have taken amrit

Not taking away from anything the boxer in the original post has acheived... congrats to him for sticking with his boxing.

However, since the title suggests speaking of a Sikh boxer, here are some links to what makes a Sikh fighter. Pardeep Singh Nagra is an inspiration for the hundreds of thousands similar daily chardi-kala battles to honor the gift of the Sikh identity. Who needs a single filthy racist medal in the guise of racism, when Pardeep Singh Nagra has won the most precious gold medals possible.

well done to pardeep his dedication is amazing and im sure he is absolutely great at his sport. Boxing has so much exposure in the world and the movement and hand striking skills are amazing. i heard about the problems he faced but didnt know he is still boxing and obviously doing so well. My chosen fighting path is muay thai but i always give respect where respects due, we need to quit hating on each other and learn to support each other.

I would love to meet and train with Pardeep one day.

God bless....
