first of all im not getting involved in any nindya on peoples jeevans, all who perform kirtan in my opinioin are far better than me

however

we cannot ignore Maryada...

Only a Sikh is allowed to perform Kirtan (Spiritual hymn singing) in a congregation and only hymns (Shabads) from the holy scriptural compositions in traditional musical measures should be sang. Only Shabads from Gurbani (Guru Granth's or Guru Gobind Singh's hymns) and the compositions of Bhai Gurdas and Bhai Nand Lal, may be performed. It is improper to sing hymns to rhythmic folk tunes or popular film tunes.

Like i said please no one get offended or annoyed, but we should accept that thios is in Rehit Maryada, and as such we should accept that these bollywood or whatever tunes ought NOT to be used...personally i did not hear any , but then again im a bit slow...!

There's a freeware program by name of Super which can convert NSV(winamp) into other formats

lol...........that was pretty quick.......maybe its MPEG2

I aint sure. I tried using the deafult settings which is for mp4 and which woked well. Mp4 can be played with VLC player .....another neat utility......lol
