CCTV footage should nail him. Local Sikhs should also "out" the guy if they know him. It's not that hard to find out who the person was, especially if they have CCTV footage.

It's important that as Sikhs we show that any abuse of the use of the kirpan will not be tolerated by the community.

There is this really weird "Singh" who wonders around the Stratford area of East London. He is from India and doesn't seem to work. why are you <banned word filter activated> spreading rumors and making accusations? u dont even know how much truth there is to this article. i refuse to believe a sikh is capable of this kind of unjust action. there must be more to the story.

Possibly! But if there is nothing to hide then there's no reason for anyone to hide. And yes you are right a Sikh should not carry out such an unjust act, but according to the Shopkeeper someone looking like a Sikh did. If a stabbing took place and it involved a Sikh it automatically brings attention to the carrying of kirpans. Now if a Kirpan is used for any reason whatsoever a Sikh should be responsible enough to explain why he/she used their kirpan.

At the end of the day there is CCTV footage and the truth always comes out. In real terms if we are fearless enough use our kirpan to stab someone for whatever reason then a GurSikh is fearless enough to accept all the judicial consequeces. If we use our kirpans and then cover up our actions by running off or hiding then somethings wrong!

the thing is when u take the roop of khalsa I.e dastaaar, 5k's etc, u have a certain responsibility u cant go around doing bad stuff in that roop because u stand out and u will bring dishonour to guru gobind singh, u hear about the murderer of the 5 prostitutes in ipswich whose in trial now is quite big on news hes only bringing dishonour to himself, if a singh did that ur bringing dishonour to sikhi
