Chani111, the problem is that we dont accept the concept of Guru Panth Khalsa. We dont accept the Akal Takhat and we try to make excuses not to follow the panthic Sikh maryada. The concept of Guru Panth Khalsa has existed for over 300 years. The only reason Sikhs are alive today is because what ever was decided by the Akal Takhat, the Khalsa accepted.

Regarding raagmala: we dont do kirtan is Raags, so im not suprised people dont believe in Raag mala. The very message of the guru is eroded when we do kirtan out of raag. When it comes to jhatas, you will always find double standards. It seems its ok to question the guru granth Sahib, but when someone questions the Dasam granth, then it is kuffar and blasphemy. Unfortunantly no one will respond to your question because of jhata affiliations, Khalsa panth affilation is very rare. I agree with everything you are saying about double standards.

Until we dont follow the Guru granth sahib, gurupanth khalsa and the Akal Takhat, all this talk of panthic ekta is a waste of time. Its always the people who are in jhatas who are calling for panthic ekta, quite simply they are hypocrits. If they believe in Ekta they would follow the Guru Panth Khalsa. So at the present the nation will never be one.

I think its best if everyone follows what their Panj Pyaare told them and not judge others who differ from them.??

we can never become a nation if we keep this up.it must be one ruless for all not pick and chose

Fine...then continue to fight among each other...u know who is going to win and who is going to lose in the end...go ahead...

We don't need to all believe exactly the same things to be unified. There can be ekta, if there is acceptance and pyaar between Sikhs regardless of the small differances between jathey. Problems arise when overcome with ego we try to impose our views on others.

First you have to list the Panthik Sikh organization who supports the Dasam Granth and then list those who oppose and see their history and how many quarbania they gave in past and willing to give today. Then you will have idea where you stand on this issue.

Heres the list i came up with:

Panthik Sikh Jatha/Dals who supports:

1) DDT - DamDami Taksal (Since guru jees time.. warriors and saints such as baba deep singh ji and sant bhinderanwale)

2) Nighangs - All of the Nihang Dals (Fierce Warrior Group of Sikhs.. fought so many wars whether its anglo sikh war or war to stop persian invasions)

3) Akj - Akhand Kirtani Jatha (Main reason that India got the independence (lahore conspiracy case, gadar Party) and also the part of the rise of singh sabha movement)

4) Akal Takht - Sikh Supreme Power center

5) Hazoor Sahib - Sikh Takht

Others who oppose:

1) Kala Afghana - (Former ex-cop in Punjab police, kicked out granthi from BC gurdwara, Court charges against him both in East and West of the world, use degrading language against amrit and Guru Gobind Singh and tells Amritvela is the time for robbers.)

2) Ghagga/Gurtej - Self made scholars. One is tenth failed, smc graduate and other is former Punjab Police officer.

3) Sikh Missonary College (Everybody knows..)

4) Various doctors and self made scholars in west who doesn't want to change their lifestyle but want to bend sikhi according to their rules.

5) Simple minded ppl who read one or two lines of the Dasam Bani and without doing proper research started throwing insult on the bani of Dasam Pita. Usually such category of ppl were mislead by SMC as they are trained as preachers.

6) Indian Govt/RSS - They do not want sikhs to believe in anything after 5th guru because they have deep fear of sikhs taking over them in future. They do not want ppl to come up with the truth that how Guru Gobind Singh ji wrote about the truth of Hindu Gods in the Sikh historical biography scripture which is Dasam Granth.

So now you can come up with the conclusion that which stand is much more authentic/heavy and which isn't..
