Having lived in 70s Punjab I know that most Sikhs there believed Nihangs to be good for nothings. Any guy who didn't want to do a day's work would go and join the Nihangs. This new fad of looking at Budha Dal as some kind of worthwhile Jathebandi is a new thing and most of their biggest fans are some young kids from the UK.

As from Akali Dal (Amritsar) they will always support anyone whom the Badal Dal doesn't support. If tomorrow Badal supports Surjeet Singh, Akali Dal(Amritsar) will start to support Balbir Singh. For someone who lives in Punjab you don't seem to know much about the way politics and politicians work in Punjab!
