Marriage,help Sikhs Plz Help

Hi all.

im a jatt sikh girl,im in love with a goldsmith(sunyar caste) boy.he is spritual guy who respects

all religions,though his family is hindu.But My parents dont like him becoz of his caste.we want

to marry.His parents are agree but My father is against it.Because he is from diff race and

culture.Im in big trouble.I love my family and religion.But i cant leave him too.so far i know

about sikhi,its no where written that marrying a nonsikh is a sin.But its do wriiten "Awalh allah

noor upaya kudrat de sab bande".So i dont know what to do.

My mother took me to a sikh preacher a babaji.They insulted me a lot that i should follow my parents decision.its all "mann ki kamzori" nothing more than that.inter caste Love marriages cant ever be successfull.No body is ready to marry a children from such a couple and so on.they said

"agar smaj ch rehna hai tan smaj ton against nhi jaya ja sakda" when i ask him that Guru Granth

sahib ji told us to respect every religion.no where its written hate the person from diff

caste.Then he said "baani jo kehndi,uste amal karna tan bahut aukha,koi v nhi kar sakda.samj naal

hi rehna painda.baani tan kehndi singh sajo amrit shako,ohnu amrit shkale fir karle jo karna ".

Im so depressed.even in a situation to kill myself.

I dont know what should i do.Whom should i follow my heart or my parents this society.

i dont want to hurt my parents,but how can i spoil my life knowingly that if i go with my parents

decision and marry a person from my caste and religion,i will not be able to love him and his

family.So how can i spoil his life also.

First of all sister..everybody respect all other dharam no matter what and that doesn't make one a very good person.. Also all dharam got some major differences so you have to do your homework before you take any huge step.

I cannot convince you but i wanna ask you... Would you choose/live with someone whom you just met or with someone who took care of you, feed you, protect you for the past decade or two? Decision is upto you

i'm sorry if i am harsh but i have to say this.

You are NOT a sikh if you are a jatt, that is not possible, there is no such thing as caste in sikhism, no one cares about caste because everybody is equal, it's stupid and pathetic and 100% wrong and against sikhi.

The love you have for that boy is fake, it is the wrong love, you should not want to take your own life because there would be no point AND IT IS AGAINST SIKHI TO COMMIT SUICIDE BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TAKE AWAY LIFE, EVEN YOUR OWN BECAUSE YOU DO NOT OWN YOUR LIFE, VAAHEGUROO OWNS IT. (i'm not shouting by the way)

You should only marry a person who you know will help you to reach vaaheguroo and if you have children with that person you must be sure that he will not cut their hair and make them eat meat, everything needs to be related to sikhi.

So you say that as far as you know a sikhi can marry a non sikh, wel sikhs cannot marry non sikhs because the children will not be sikhs due to the other partner not wanting their children to be sikhs and it will not help you to get to vaaheguroo.

Any choice you make in life, your religion comes before your family, loving boys or girls does not even come into the question because the only one you are meant to LOVE is vaaheguroo.

My advice is to forget about the boy that you 'love' and forget about caste, find a sikh boy, doesnt matter about the caste, if your parents disagree with the caste then you ignore them, this is not their life, it is your life. Find out more about Sikhism, try and get back into your religion and you WILL find ALL of your answers, you will come to realise what is right and wrong and you will be able to find out for yourself what is right and wrong. By marrying a Sikh boy you will be able to make your children sikhs as the boy will not be against making them sikhs unless he is not religious either, so i suggest you find out about sikhi FIRST and THEN find a sikh boy who will also be able to help you in sikhi.

Please dont think i was shouting at you, i just want you to try and understand what sikhs actually believe. Sikhs do not have the time to worry over the fake love a girl thinks she has for a boy or a boy thinks he has for a girl, there are MUCH MORE important things in this life than love between a boy and girl because it is FAKE LOVE, Extremely Sorry for offending you if i have penji, i feel like i have but all this had to be said.

what i'm trying to say is...that kind of love is not the love sikhs should have, the only love that should exist is the love of a sikh for the sangat/guru jee/vaaheguroo (true love)... not the typical 'lust' kind of love, or the girlfriend/boyfriend love (fake love)

When 2 sikhs get married, they shouldn't 'love' each other, they should SHARE the love WITH each other FOR vaaheguroo
