i've been asked that too ....itz different for nails because even if you don't cut them, they get brittle and start breaking by themself (and they can also cause medical problems). With hair, it also falls when itz weak but we won't cut healthy hair.

and also...the outer part of the nails(the white part) is actually dead cells...but our hair is not a dead cell...when it dies frm the root..it will drop out by itself..

I was told that by everyone as well...

I asked a few sciece teachers, and read in scientific magazines that Hair cells are nont Alive, hair is fibre and not cells

Guru sahib is adressing Muslims through this shabad. Pls read the full shabad to find out the real message of Guru sahib.

Yes, it's obvious that Guru Sahib is addressing Muslims through that shabad, but doesn't the same message apply to us? Afterall Guru Sahib is blessing them with Gyaan through his updesh and his updesh is same for all:

The shabad also tells:

pMjvY pMjy iekqu mukwmY eyih pMij vKq qyry Aprprw ]9]

Here Guru Sahib is telling them to control the 5 vices in their 5 prayers. Now does this mean only they are supposed to control kaam, krodh, lobh, moh or hankaar? Doesn't this same updesh apply to us?

Maybe I'm still not understanding the argument so let me know if I am wrong.

I did not imply that.The point I wanna make is, here "cap" is used the same way "dastaar" was used in the tuk u mentioned.I just wanna make sure we use the right gurbani at right place.
