I remember seeing these wonderful fishes when I visited darbar sahib in 1983, as little child. I can recall only 2 things from the visit. One is the fishes in the water and the other is sitting on the marble floors looking upto the then towering akal takht and the majestic shinney golden darbar sahib from a distance in the sunlight.

I agree but I'm sure there are some animals that can 'see the light', or have been placed into that animal for a reason. But in a way you're right, the human birth is the only one that can actually read, write, speak and understand Gurbani to its fullest (regardless if there are jackasses that don't).

Yea fishes are lucky, having ishnaan in amrit 24/7, doing seva 24/7, and listening to Gurbanee all the time (animals would have heard Gurbanee in the days of our Satguru Sahibs when they were in human form).
