Waheguru...

Sangat Ji...

I would like to clear up a few things on behalf of the Organisers...

It seems people with not so hidden "agendas" would like to cause disruption around the durbar and other programs which they must see as a threat to their own sense of self or identity... But truth and prem often cause people to become unbalanced and anxious as they are threatened by things that are diverse or different to their own central dogma of worship...

We, as the organisers, have no “hidden agendas” … Our aims and objectives are transparent enough for anybody able to read between the lines…

We are taking a proactive approach to trying to instil and encourage the prem for Gurbani that adds meaning and depth to our spiritual practice and lives (jeevan)… We do this by promoting Sikhi and Guru Jis Bani and Bana… We promote reading of Gurbani, Santheya, Kirtan to join us and connect us to our Guru Ji , Gatka, shaster and Bir Ras Bani to keep the warrior attributes alive, Katha to help us understand and appreciate, Gurbani Khoj to help us realise…

But for those who fail to realise that these people tell “real lies” which may seem to be the truth for themselves… For example this amazing invisible red cloth that nobody else saw… please wake up… the Panth has enough problems without these imaginary things…

Wonder if you spotted the 8 singhs or so who read the Naumai Patshahs’ slok together, or the 13 year old Singh who read the Raag Mala, or even the 14 year old Singh who read JapJi Sahib… Or maybe even the 24 year old Singh who did the mahaan seva of reading the Bania for the Bhog of Sri Dasam Granth… and has now carried out two sehej paath of Sri Dasam Granth in the last 4 months…

see g5sikhmedia website for pictures/photos of event

Most of us could only hope to do a Sehaj Paath of Sri Dasam Granth – let alone take Santheya of Dasam Bani twice…

The aims of the organisers were to promote the reading with prem and loving devotion for maharaja and for Gurbani… To encourage and promote these young singhs, to create awareness and celebrate their achievement. Thereby providing them with positive reinforcement and praise… Hence, also providing positive role models in our youth, for our youth…

But ask yourselves… How will the Panth move forwards when so many people still adopt a backwards mind frame…

WE ARE NOT HINDUS… AND WE HAVE OPENLY STOOD AGAINST THOSE WHO THINK THAT WE ARE… BUT NO DOUBT PEOPLE WILL CONTINUE TO SEEK WAYS TO DISHEARTEN OUR SINGHS…

However, the hatred for all things from the Indian subcontinent is also disturbing… for example, we tie dastaar (turbans)… and others used to before us… does that mean we should stop… this kind of “logic” is quite simply disturbing… The whole Indian Subcontinent believes in “Karma”, so does that mean we should stop???

We have such Chardi Kalah individuals who are scared of coconuts (narial)… We are a Sant Sipahi Kaum… and as I have stated before, the Warrior Saint spirit resides in the Khalsa as it is interwoven into the very fabric and essence of the Khalsa… As is Gurbani from Guru Ji and Sri Dasam Granth… No matter how much this eats away at people, it’s true… The autonomous nature of the Khalsa means that nobody can control or assimilate them… The Khalsa is forever free… Also as per the earlier reply… Why did guru ji use a Narial in the Gur-gaddi ceremony? Ask yourselves why you are threatened by the coconut?

Eerkha (jealousy/envy) and Hate (nafrat) are dangerous things that can control people and cause them to lose sight of the truth or prem and the true messages Guru Ji gives us… They cause people to seek to attack and cause hatred against those things, individuals, beliefs and even singhs they perceive as hostile or as a threat…

It is rather sad but inevitable that these “Mischievous characters” will seek to raise doubts in the minds of believers and premi of maharaja… Their motives forever remain questionable as if their concerns and questions were not to cause a stir or create controversy, then they would have attended the program and sought to speak to us directly… The singhs who were in Bana were hardly easy to miss now were they…

But it’s inevitable…

PEOPLE FEAR WHAT THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND.... THEY HATE WHAT THEY CAN'T ASSIMILATE, DIVIDE OR CONQUER...

These are the origins of Racism and caste-ism alongside this sad new trend of Jatha-ism… whereby everything is about arguing and proving people wrong… We prey for “Sarbat Ka Bhala” ostentatiously if we are unable to comprehend and accept traditions and spiritual practice/belief that is slightly different to our own when we have the same “Shabad Guru”…

We do not wish to involve ourselves with “cyber-beef” or “keyboard wars” but would wish to follow Guru Jis wishes of avoiding arguments designed to pull people off task or distract their focus… Hence, this will be the only posting in this thread as those who wish to discuss anything with us… will find us around at all Panthic Program we are free to go to… All genuine or respectful queries will be answered to by the best of our limited understanding…

There are weekly Akaal Ustat Programs every Sunday Evening at Baba Sang Gurdwara and Gatka classes every Saturday evening... both from 6-8pm...

Please could young Singhs try to get involved at a grass roots level and run programs like these at their local gurdwarey to build the interests of the youth towards Sikhi...

Bhul Chuf Marf Karni…

Nobodys replied to the post I done, about the coconut being against what Akal Thakt says - maryada wise, it is prohibited the breaking a placing of coconuts ,placing of picthers ,lanterns and any other scripture or book beside SGGS ji is prohibited.

I don't see how people can justify it when our supreme authority says it is wrong to do what is being done at these darbars

on countless times ive read many posts done by yourself which against nihang traditions and the mareyda, it seems to me you hate nihangs altogether? or is it because the traditions such as aarti aartha and chatka dont fit it to your sikhi perspective, anyone can put a farla in their dumalla I read in one of your posts? stop hating...if you wish to follow the SGPC rehit follow it but that rehit was created a long time after the original nihang rehit.

just my two cents

Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh

Bir Ras Darbar and Rehansbhai Kirtan, March 2009

Holla Mohalla

The Bir Ras Durbar was created to celebrate the Khalsa festival of Holla Mohalla and Barsi of Sant Baba Harbans Singh Ji Dameliwale. The recitations and Sehaj Path of both the Sri Guru Granth Sahib and the Sri Dasam Granth ji created the atmosphere of the true Khalsa Warrior or Sant Siphai.
