In India there are are 180 million Ravidassia, well done to the fundamentalist for closing the door to Sikhism for this community :@

Sikhism will become a fundamentalist religion confined to Punjab with a Jat mentality.

If you look at the Ravidassia history they are part of Sikhism from day one, Guru Nanak respected Guru Ravidass enough to have social interaction and learn from his teacings, Guru Arjan Dev incorporated Guru Ravidass Bani in the Adi Granth. Read up of the history of the Sikh Light Infantry, look at the rebellion of The Satnami Revolt Against Aurungzeb, see what Giani Ditt Singh did for Sikhism.

Many parts of Punjab no longer have a Sikh majority - Sikhism has failed to reach out to the so called lower caste Sikhs, Biharis etc. Guru Nanak was born a into a Hindu family - who were the original converts to Sikhism yes Hindus?

If Sikhisms does not reach out to other sections of the Indian community it will be left as a dying religion in terms of numbers and in years to come known as an in-bred religion (the gene pool has to expand - simple laws of science).

It would have been easier to convert a Ravidassia to the orthodoxy of Sikhism than a Hindu to convert to Sikhism!

sikhi wont be a in-bred religion, if it was to happen it would have happened when we were just 1000 something in numbers.

but agree with you on everything else. i see number of sikhs decreasing in india in the coming years/decades...

and there isnt a damm thing sgpc or any other sikh politician will do about it.

Sikhi will only revive when we learn to be honest and open hearted like the original Sikhs

Sikhs today are mean minded and utterly incapable of accepting responsibility for their actions - its always someboday elses fault :umm:

This we rightly blame the GOI for its wrong actions but say nothing to the totally irresponsible Sikh leadership for their weak and dirty actions at the same time

we have heroes like Sarpanch on this site justyfying 'raiding' places of worship and the promotion of hate as if this will save Sikhi - in reality this is destroying SIkhi and its about time we opened our eyes and hearts

Where have i promoted hate ?I simply speak out against beadbi ,if beadbi goes on do you think Sikhs will sit back?If all means fail even after requests to remove idols do you still think Sikhs whill sit back NO I don't think so.This is a step in the right direction - at least we will not have to worry about beadbi ,they themselves claim to be seperate, and not even Sikhs so its their decision to follow their own faith, those who want to come in to the Sikhi fold are more than welcome to do so

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Je Ke Fateh

Dear Sangat Ji,

I have heard that the Ravidass Gurudawara's will remove all from all of their buildings Maharaj Guru Granth Sahibs Ji. They will instead have images or Statues of Bhagat Ravidass, this will make all Ravidass Gurudawara's to Ravidass Temples.

Could some one confirm this please or have I got it completely wrong?

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Je Ke Fateh

Actually there is nothing that you guys should be upset or panic about. You should be pleased. The sikh leaders who are managing SGPC or your other institutions and you sikhs at large did us a great favour by maintaining their casteist attitudes. They want to spread mariyada and not message of GGS. The GGS will be taken out soon out of all Guru ravidass Sabhas and as Jeevan has mentioned, new Granth of Ravidassis will serve 180 million Ravidassis all over India. The mariada of Sikh orthodoxy was never acceptable to us and will never be acceptable to us. We value our Saints equally as GGS who did so much for our community. Your lineage ends with GGS, not ours. Havinf no casteism in GGS doesn't matter to us. We live in society not in GGS. Your society is caste ridden.

The culprits who committed this sick act in austria, your so-called shahids will not go unpunished by law and Ravidassias. Keep on singing about such sick people in your dhadiwars. Where do you think the religioon which glorifies violence ends up?

Look at the Satnami movement, they were chamars and very peaceful people. Satnami's Sant Ghasidas also followed teachings of Guru Ravidass and his followers who are called Satnamis gave such a tough fight to Aurangzeb that he had to sent 10,000 strong army to crush them. He did more than than Guru Gobind Singh ever did to weaken Aurangzeb and won several wars unlike Guru Gobind Singh. Our people supported Guru Gobind Singh as nobody was willing to support him. Brahmins didn't fight, kshatriya rajas were against him, Vaishyas didn't fight so who were left, right, the shudras who saved Guru Gobind Singh again and again. Look at Chamar regiment now called Sikh LI. You keep your GGS as our Guru and Sants are important to us. You people took away the very Saint who brought us in th fold of GGS. This is why I call such people idiots. As your last guru, Guru Gobind Singh had rightly said that you are "Jat Boots" who take pride in being casteist. What's the point of having GGS now? As someone has said "Jai Rab Milya wich Murshid De, bin Murshid Rab Nun Ki Karna".

Sikh panth can imagine the consequences of any further attack against Ravidassis who are far more brave and large in number and spread across India. It was fortunate that this time trouble only erupted in Punjab or Haryana. If it had spread to UP, MP, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Orissa then Sikhs would have had tough time. You people don't know how to respect other people right to religious freedom. The terrorists that have been reared by Sikh orthodoxy are used at will by your so-called sikh mainstream when needed. Sikhism has given Ravidassis nothing while Ravidassis gave everything. They have been reduced to second grade group in Sikhism. it is unfortunate that this murder had to happen for them to realize this. it should have happened long time ago.

Please keep your GGS to yourselves. If ever we decide to keep it, we will respect our saints at our wish and nobody should dare to touch our saints or people otherwise there will be another events that Sikh Panth will have to mark in their history of struggles. Ravidassis came into fold of sikhism to have shelter from casteism but alas their shelter was more of a cesspool which has hurt their conscience and shaken teir faith in humanity. Thanks to Sikh masses and please keep celebrating your mariada and thankfully keep narrowing your circle of friendship. Now your numbers will be small and so will be your money collection. All your strength in the past has come from money from gurudwaras which has frequently used by many to purchase arms to kill innocents.

We will always have regard for GGS and 10 gurus but never again for sikhs. Guru Gobind Singh had rightly said that "he will not be with sikhs if they follow vipran ki reet". He knew that if the group that he is creating can kill others to protect the weak then if their thinking gets screwed up or they fall into the trap of ills that manuvadi people followed, then they would end up killing themselves or each other. This is what is happening and we are watching with amusement and bewilderment.

Please keep it up.

Jason 12 - Guru Gobind Singh is not the Guru of the Jats only - he can be any-ones Guru. I believe the spirit of our Gurus and other righteous humans live on in another dimension. When so called Sikhs die who are really just casteist Jats the 10th master will reject them!

Guru Gobind Singh wanted the SGGS to be a Guru - a focal point of our lives but not our only source of wisdom. The beauty of Sikhism was that it asked humans to engage in the normal day to day activities of life but to apply wisdom. Take for instance what does the SGGS say about global warming - nothing I suspect but we each have responsibilities to fellow man and future generations for e.g. ensuring Punjab's water table is not exhausted to the point a drought occurs.

The world is getting to grips with economic disaster, pandemics, terrorism, fascism, healthcare, pensions, a child's welfare and education, what do Khalistani worry about - a Sant allegedly involved in Beadbi?

Guru Ravidass message is universal if Sikhism wants to constrain it then it will look 'outside the box', the loss will be to the casteist Jats.

Religion should be evolving day to day - for e.g. the Roman Catholic Church at one time thought is was the 'devils work' to undertake post mortems - can you imagine anyone dying in the West now without a post mortem carried out?

I fully agree with your content. very thoughtful. Even though many offshoots from core sikhism like Naamdharis (kukas) or Nirankaris doubt whether Guru Gobind Singh really intended SGGS to be final guru. They believe in lineage of living gurus which, in my opinion is of prime importance for human progress and evolution.
