Bhai Harminder Singh Sandhu, Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal, Jathedar Talwinder Singh Babbar and General Shubeg Singh are four people who have been overlooked when it comes to preaching about our glourious modern Sikh history.

BSSF has planned a number of programmes across 2010 in memory of these great souls.

Bhai Harminder Singh Sandhu - Charity Gaming Tournament and Kirtan Darbar in March at Ilford.

Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochchal - Khalsa Raj Gurmat Camp in May at Bradford.

General Shubeg Singh - Shaheedi Football Tournament in Hayes/Southall in July.

Jathedar Talwinder Singh Babbar - Sri Akhand Patth Sahib and Shaheedi Conference in October at Smethwick.

A 5 day Camp has also been finalised by BSSF for August.

A Shaheedi Samagam has also been confirmed in memory of the sacrifices of Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji and Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale.

"Every Sikh hopes to die defending their father's honour, by denying this, we become the greatest traitors in our family"

Gagandip Singh

President

Erm not really, once the movement was at a standstill (92) leavin Punjab wouldn't count as leavin the battlefield. As there was no battle to fight no more, the first phase was over once most of the jujharoos became shaheed, leavin to survive wasn't cowardly and it wasn't betrayal either. u speak like u have done so much, don't put others down if u ain't done anything yourself. Plus this ain't about that either, this is about harminder Singh sandhu.

This is simply a explanation about our views on Bhai Sandhu, we are not engaging upon your debate.

He was General Secretary of the All India Sikh Students Federation under the leadership of Shaheed Bhai Amrik Singh. Even during Bhai Amrik Singh time in prison during the Dharam Yudh Morcha, the All India Sikh Students Federation continued to participate in all Panthic programmes with ever growing support from the Sikh Youth all across India. The Federation did not waver from its course or face any form of fractioning during this time and Bhai Harminder Singh Sandhu must be given full credit for this.

Many Jujaroo Singhs came out of the All India Sikh Students Federation to join Kadkhu Organisations such as Babbar Khalsa, Khalistan Liberation Force, Khalistan Commando Force, Bhindranwale Tiger Force and Bhai Harminder Singh Sandhu’s own founded Organisation, Khalistan “National Army.”

Bhai Harminder Singh Sandhu was also responsible for organising the formation of over 3,000 Khalsa Panchayats. (Village Councils) If Bhai Sahib was not murdered by those he considered his own, there is no doubt that all 13,000 of Punjab’s villages would have adopted Khalsa Panchayats and literally converted the whole of Punjab’s countryside into Khalistan, thus outnumbering any suggestion of a anti Khalistan drive in the Urban areas.

Whilst many respected Jujaroo Singhs wavered from an outright demand of Khalistan and sometimes reverting to just greater autonomy for Punjab, Bhai Harminder Singh Sandhu alongside Jathedar Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochal stuck to their guns and only demanded Khalistan, a separate country for the Sikhs.

At that time the majority termed both of these mahaan (Great) Singhs as traitors but today those same people look down in shame when the names of Bhai Harminder Singh Sandhu and Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochal are mentioned.

i havent done anything, thats why i dont call myself a kharkhoo or ex-kharkhoo.

your claim that there is nothing for them to do in india since 92 is PATHETIC! The state that the panth is in,especially in panjab, and they here giving it large "we are kharkhoos..."

Ofcourse there's stuff to do, that's not what I meant, there stuff to do now. But the ex-kharkoos I know of suffered immense torture by the cops, and were actually unable to fight on like they could have before. As for givin it large, yes some do and they shoulnd do so, however we should still respect the work they have done, as that seva us immense and I cannot actually think of a greater one.

This is the first time i am hearing of someone who is praising Sandhu publicly. Sandhu was gardar to the khalistani movement and everybody knows that.

Many also said that Baba Manochchal was a traitor and many in the UK despise of Jathedar Talwainder Singh Babbar!

If establishing 3,000 Khalsa Panchayats (thats Amritdhari's only in the village councils) and continuously demanding Total independence and nothing less makes you a traitor then so be it.

Bhagat Singh, Udham Singh were called traitors by the Majority "Ghandi/Congress" Nexus who had the greatest influence during the Indian Independence movement, the same seems to apply here.

If time can heal wounds, then it can surely shed light upon the truth.

The murder of Shaeed Bhai Harmander Singh Sandhu, was one of the turning points for the Khalistan Movement and the start of 'pra-maru jang' (internal -feud-killings). The Second Panthic Commitee, led by Dr Sohan Singh and Babbar Khalsa, claimed responsibility for his murder, which was carried out by KLF (panjawar), with the help of UK Sikhs. Daljit Singh Bittu, who was also a member of this panthic commitee, has already apologised for the internal killings and feud.

After the shaeedi of Bhai Sahib, the movement was totally divided and thus the downfall. The Government taking adavantage of the internal feuds, quickly killed the main Leadership of the armed struggle.

Before this juncture in the movement, Guru sahib guided us, but once we started killing our own brothers on the whim of lousy intelligence, no doubt instigated by the Indian intelligence, the movement went into a downhill whirl. Many freedom fighters, got dis-heartened and left the movement to fight on another day.
