Sikh Channel Staff At Sikh Federation Convention

I attended the Sikh Federation convention, and

I would like to express to the sangat what I saw, about Sikh Channel staff...

I went to the gurdwara sahib (sedley street), and did mathatek.

Then sat in the sangat, and took the raas from the speakers.

And the Sikh Channel team, the camera lady, was a disgrace.

*You could see her... (backside).

*Had dirty pink socks in the darbar sahib.

*Quite a bit of the time, had her back to Guru Mahraj.

*Chewing gum in DARBAR.

She was smoking infront of the gurdwara sahib.

if you go to sedley street gurdwara, and in the front of the gurdwaras car park, she was smoking there... :\

Most of Sikh channel crew were moneh, speaking loud in the gurdarbar.

On a postive note, I reckon the Sikh TV camera crew were excellent.

They were sabat soorat. Had socks off. Maintaining the Gurdwara Maryada.

what do u expect from free labour - and european ones at that.

the channel is a disgrace, the owner is a disgrace. hopefully these new ones will show it for what it truly is - a money making scheme for mr bal.

Yeah the question is : is any of the staff at Sikh Channel actually Sikh?!

In addition, DS Bal also allows his staff and interns to have booze sessions and stuff at the same Sikh Channel studio where they do paath every day, and baniyaa are brought in to recite Sukhmani Sahib paath etc. Not only that, but he has said to Singhs in the past that it's ok to "do stuff" with the interns, but not with any of the guests!

Anyway, yeah, people are all finally waking up as to what Sikh Channel is about and anyone who hasn't woke up will get a very rude awakening when Sikh Channel shuts down and runs off with your monies.

With so many kharkoo singhs attending the Sikh Fed Convention, I hope someone addressed the situation there and then. Apparently, it seems a common behaviour of the Sikh Channel staff to smoke around the sneaky corner of a Gurdwara, this seems to be witnessed everytime, yet no one seems to say anything at the time.

Next time the backside of a Sikh Channel member of staff is visible, instead of all gauping at it, maybe we should ask them to leave and wear something appropriate for the Guru Ghar there and then! We do have the right to refuse them entry!

I was also at the Conference. From what i saw, someone did tell the Sikh Channel crew, as the Girl was no longer involved with the Camera and may have also left. Probably after about 12ish, there was a Dastar wearing Sikhg, manning the fron Camera.

I got an idea of the next Sundays live show. ...Why dont Sikh Channel do a live discussion programme about the increasing issue of the Sikh Channel staff smoking in the Gurdwara car parks! Maybe Dhesi or Rana can host the show.
