Sat Sri Akal:

http://www.dtfbooks.com be the DTF site.

Local (Maryland, US) store, though with a limited selection of Shastars, is http://www.sikhlink.net.

Ebay is definitely a one-stop shop in terms of the wide variety of Shastars that can be found at one place (but of course, you gotta somehow avoid the scams and the misrepresentation, so be careful... <_< ).

I found this interesting site with Indian/Middle Eastern weaponry and it is actually based in India.

http://arms.en.ec21.com/

Some interesting collections of Indian Shastars.

Otherwise, if you are looking for top of the line quality, you are going to have to first decide which individual Shastar and then look for who is a good smith for that particular Shastar...mind you, this would be a very expensive method as you are looking for the best of the best.

Of course, this forum and others say that Sacha Sauda ( http://www.sacha-sauda.ca ) has what you need for Shastars. Shoot them an e-mail about it. They are in Canada.

when collecting shastars its good to not jump the gun and buy whatever you think looks good, spend a few months studying different shastars from different regions, on ebay you will find allot of new reproductions, most of which are just decoration peices, so avoid them

most things you will find are old but in bad condition (pitted or damaged), unless they have potential to be cleaned and restored to _near_ original standard i would avoid those too

best thing to do is save your money and buy one shastar every few months, its better to have a small amount of excellent shastars rather then a load of rubbish ones

check out akaalarms.com and ashokaarts.com for some real shastars :TH:
