is there any actual proof of this, ive tried finding proof but have had difficulty in doing so, im not saying hard evidence i just mean who heard him say what exactly?

his filthy back has been fully covered. he didnt just say khoon ka badla khoon he said other slogans aswell live on doordarshan tv whilst standing next to rajeev. at that time it was the only tv channel available and that (and all other media) was run by the indian government.

there was no video cameras commonly available and mobile phones were not invented. it was recorded and telacast repeatedly by doordarshan tv, they refuse to make the footage public. Now it can only been made available by orders of indian court. Sikhs have requested but courts have denied their requests saying that too much time has lapsed.

It is also possible that BBC has this footage, but again they wouldnt expose it unless they have a fall out with india.

Its a grave shame that we are still trying to seek justice from the sons of bitches that have been and continue to kill us.

thats the first ive heard of that, ive heard quite a few people say that he incited violence but ive never heard that he said it on a tv broadcast!

thats pretty horrific in all fairness, i can only imagine how sikhs at the time felt seeing that on tv and how they feel now seeing him living it up in bollywood :omg:

some of our elders in india (not jsut delhi) can remember dog amitabh barking this on tv whilst thrusting his fist in the air. it is no secret that amitabh was best friends with rajiv, and amitabhs "sikh?" mother was friends with indira.

I also read somewhere amitabh bachan cancelled a trip to canada because Sikhs were going to raise the issue with him and he didnt want it brought up again because he knows he doesnt have a leg to stand on - someone comfirm this plz.

Think maybe it's our parents (incases where the parents arent religious/Amrithari) who need to be educated of this matter because if they knew this maybe they'd not have so much interest in this bollywood crap (talking from experience). Then in long run theyd not watch this Bollywood stuff & maybe their kids (us) would be taught Sikhi from the day go. Sorry for rant; just talking from personal experience

I have never seen one bollywood film in my life I have had some so called Sikh 'friends' come up to me and say I'm strange because of this fact, rather I replied I'm not strange, you are weird for watching such filth which iv heard... What is with such dramas that people watch I don't even understand Hindi... I think it's mostly those show off type girls that get excited when watching bollywood films almost like a tradition..

If your a Sikh you shouldn't even be watching these movies full stop. Contains nothing but hindu related business.

Agree with you I get told I'm strange as I'm the one who doesn't watch these films. That's why maybe if our parents where educated in this in first place watching these films wouldn't be seen as the norm

Some of the Indian films from the 1930s, 40s and 50s were meant to be really good. They dealt with social and class issues that challenged the viewer instead of the mindless softcore porn being shoved down viewers throats these days.

My heart sinks whenever I hear or see a Sikh (in saroop or sehajdhari) get over-excited about Bollywood movies. Its a free country and people are entitled to watch whatever they want but I personally find the message behind modern Bollywood movies to be quite sinister. The fact that our sisters expect their lives to follow the pattern of a Bollywood movie in terms of finding a true love and living happily ever after just stinks. The insidious "comedifying" and stereotyping of Sikhs - from what I've read - should be reason enough for us to forgo the Bollywood experience.

I won't say "But why is nobody thinking of the children!?!" ( :biggrin2: ) but its true.

I will add - before someone else does - that Hollywood is also responsible for peddling romantic and sexual nonsense, but there's such a wide variety of movies that you can watch something with a parent or relative without wondering when a half-naked woman is going to begin writhing on-screen.

I'm probably simplifying the issue but the gist of my argument is valid I think.

Ok but as a sikh we shouldn't call hindu related business as bad. Just call it bad in general, no point in attacking someone's quam, its not gurmat like this!

Also understanding hindi has made me understand gurbani even more, wish I understood persian though!
