Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana - Fansi Date Set

Balwant Singh Rajoana, a convict in the former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh’s assassination case, who had requested a court to fix the date for his execution, will be hanged in Patiala central jail at 9am on March 31. This would be the first execution of a convict in the state in 24 years.

Chandigarh additional sessions judge Shalini Nagpal on Sunday issued orders for the implementation of the death warrants against the Babbar Khalsa activist.

The order for carrying out the death sentence was issued on the request of Rajoana, who did not challenge his conviction.

As a trial relating to recovery of RDX is pending against Rajoana, Patiala jail authorities wrote to DGP jails, seeking clarification on whether a death warrant can be carried out when a case is under judicial process against a convict.Rajoana is presently lodged in Patiala central jail.

You may be right, but it's a risky strategy to assume this, ultimately there's a Sikhs life at stake here.

Considering his Amrit Sanchaar was high profile, we Sikhs need to show an ability to generate some global pressure to revoke this decision, particularly as this could be the first execution in Punjab in 24 years. We can't just do nothing, there needs to be a global strategy to generate some constructive raula against this execution.

Best method to stop execution is to protest in New Delhi at the seat of power and get MP's to stay this execution put so much pressure that it will become impossible to carry out the sentence as it will cause civil unrest and lead to Sikh militancy revived. If the Indian Unionist Congress terrorist government and its institutions couldnt and cant give justice for the genocide against Sikhs in 1984 then how dare they even think about carrying such sentances out? and how dare they even commute the butcher of Sikhs in (kishore lal) to life imprisonment and then early release? Whats going on here eh? Indian democracy? Indian justice? lol wow

Make no mistake this would be a great propaganda victory and recruiting sergeant for Sikhs to take up arms against the Indian Union again. So either way its a win win situation for the kaum as the lions of the Sikh nation awaken again from the sleep.

Is it me, or did this execution creep up from no where...There appears to have been little coverage prior to this in Sikh media about Bhai Balwant Singh's case. We all know about Prof Davindepal Singh, Jagtar Singh Hawara, Dalit Singh Bittu etc but Balwant Singh seems to have been bypassed...

Im confused ratehr than accepting the will of a panthic singh we find faults ... we speculate and we want to hinder his wishes ... i understand that its a sad thing but truthfully its his choice he knows if he isnt hanged he spends the rest of his life behind bars he's egar to meet with akal purkh and hes travelled a hard path. He wants to give his eyes to those that need it he willing to give his bdy to who,m ever is in need of an ung
