Bro, the video you are referring to is by Bibi Shanti Kaur Khalsa on Vaisakhi. She's very panthic minded and has seen the panth go through harsh times (even 1984) hence why she actually knows what sh

2128, every individual who take the authority of being kathakar addressing to thousands of sangat needs to be scrutinized. If not then we are afraid we will have so many untrained selfmade people jumping in front of video promoting their man mat vichars. If you are private person or a private personal company not in prachar field then talking about them is bad and nindiya. If one runs non-profit setup solely dependent on half million sangat donations and take huge personal paycut to run this thing then surely sangat need to know their personal goals or opinions on core sikh matters. Harbajan Singh Yogi was a good guy and he did his part and not all 3ho we see agree with him after he is gone. They are suing his family in courts (both india and US) and is this thanks they gave to yogi and his family even knowing that he left 30% of his wealth to these same backstabbers?

Veer member mentioned snatan kaur being panthic and aware of sikhi beliefs. I used to believe that too until I saw her praying in ganges, doing arti and throwing water towards sun. That is good enough for me to decide not to take any spiritual advice from such person.

2128 ji, we are not against them. They are not our enemy. We are talking about how *some* like Gurka Singh misleading sikhnet by airing his self-made non-gurmat opinions by misusing sikhnet platform established by veer gurmustak. It is prime time for them to change the leadership role by appointing someone else in the space of gurkha singh as power abuse is obvious after spending so many years on sikhnet.

I fail to grasp that how can we compare medical condition of bad eyesight with superficial facial hair removal stuff purely for cosmetic reason.

It's the same reason why Gurumustukh Singh beats his wife. :lol2: Guruka SIngh and innergear think alike. :biggrin2:

Everyone should get t shirts asking why Gurumustuk Singh beats his wife and on the front saying Guruka SInghs response to every questions.

Is that a joke? If so its in poor taste. Anyway I thought we weren't supposed to talk bad about people in Sikhi...or do I just not understand Sikhi?

Please no jokes as this will just serve to make a serious discussion into a mockery.

In all honesty both Punjabi Sikhs and white Sikhs have their share of goods and bads. Yogi Bhajjan did do some good work in bringing people from a non Sikh background into the Sikh fold. For this I beleive he used Yoga to attract them. Contrary to what most might think but 3ho is not 100% in line with Yogi Bhajjan's thinking either. For example, Yogi Bhajjan was of the opinion that Homosexuality is abnormal and not in line with Gurmat lifestyle yet according to Guruka Singh and Mr Sikhnet homosexuality is perfectly normal and in no way does it go against Gurmat. In this I beleive that Guruka Singh is passing his opinion based on Manmat rather than Gurmat because he does not give any example from Bani or from the life of the Gurus to support his opinion.

As an elder Parcharak who is treated with respect in the community it is the elder's responsibility to do parchar based on Gurmat rather then one's Manmat. Gurmat is based on the life and teachings of the Gurus or if you want to extend it even to include the Bhagats since their lifestyles and teachings were also inline with Gurmat.

Guruka Singh is an elder man and in our culture we give respect to elders, and I don't think he means anything bad, he is a Sikh and is our brother. Mistakes happen by everyone but that mistake does not mean we should insult him but instead we should try to inform him of his mistake. If he still does not want to agree then we should leave it to Guru Jee and just ignore such a person.

I thought i give Guruka Singh a taste of his own medicine. His had not logic behind it and mine actually told the true side of this event. It was to educate the wider sangat with a joke.

Gurmat is based on the life and teachings of the Gurus or if you want to extend it even to include the Bhagats since their lifestyles and teachings were also inline with Gurmat.

Exactly....No one has a problem with Guruka Singh at all. It's when he starts spitting his venom of manmat on his videos, then Sikhs take up to his venom and give a proper response. I am starting to believe Guruka Singh purposely does this just so he can get more supporters for Sikhnet.

Some don`t question others practices because they want unity (understandable and it creates progess for those who are very far behind). Some don`t question because they are doing some really strange manmat things and if they start questioning others, then the finger might just come and beat them where the sun don`t shine. Guruka Singh should have been smart and kept his venom to himself. After his venom was spat in the direction of Bibek, then all Gursikhs saw what he really was. Now hes crying, hoping everyone will forget his disrespect.

Guruka Singh should make a video where he apologizes to the Gurmat practice of Bibek and then gives a proper answer on why they have a statue of Sri Chand at the Gurdwara, when Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj tells us Sri Chand was evil? Gurumustukh Singh didn't answer the latter question when i had a discussion with him. Many can blame the punjabi Sikh community for not answering questions, but these two individuals are no better and they hold positions where they can change peoples minds on what Sikhi is. See how i didn't label all whites Sikhs in this post as the same. Only Guruka Singh does this to play the punjabi vs white Sikh card.

Progress and unity in the Panth can only take place if the so called leaders are willing to have an open discussion with rest of the Sikhs. Everyone blames Akal Takht Jathedar for not answering questions. It's time for some to stop being biased and understand Guruka Singh and Gurumustukh Singh are no better. If you think they are then present the Gurbani and Bhai Gurdas Ji Vaar to them and then tell everyone what they said to you. I did and they didn't even answer the question. Let's see, you might have lighter skin than me and maybe they will listen to you......i was too punjabi for them.

    • Brava, you took Amrit but you didn't give your head to the Guru for that Amrit, frankly whatever you do to "make amends" or even "pesh" is useless unless you actually are willing to give your everything to the Guru. If you have this gf of yours, do anand karaj, if that isn't possible then move on.
    • please read 52 hukumnamas of Guru Gobind Singh, it says not to start grihast jeevan without anand karaj, so you cannot have partner without anand karaj, so you cannot have a girlfriend.
    • https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hereford-worcester-61466964 A 12-year-old boy was driven almost 200 miles and housed with a sex offender by a social worker at an under-fire council, the BBC has learned. The child was taken from his home in Herefordshire to stay with a relative in Bradford whose partner had admitted touching a young girl in 1991. The boy, now an adult, said he had been told he would be there a week but ended up staying almost four months. Herefordshire Council apologised for its "serious failings". It comes after a string of failings in the authority's children's services department were highlighted by BBC Panorama, including twins who were wrongly split up for adoption after a social worker deleted expert advice from a report warning against separating them. The department is currently under review after being told by a judge it "wasn't fit for purpose" and had "utterly failed" children in its care. The boy in the latest failing to emerge is now a young adult and spoke to BBC Hereford & Worcester about his ordeal...   "My whole time up there was torture, every day was a struggle, not having my parents there," he said, adding he had suffered physical and verbal abuse while living there, but not sexual.
    • This quote is similar in spirit to the quote by Jiddu Krishnamurthi: "It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society." Both quotes are basically suggesting that any individual who thrives in an environment that is, by all metrics, morally and ethically moribund, has lost their humanity whereby the suffering and injustice around them doesn't stir their conscience. If the evil individuals in power are flocking to be your friends and hailing you as a notable personality, there's a high probability you share many of the same characteristics as these powerful people.  We're talking about very high-level positions of power where these types of personalities are lauded in the world's media, not a hard-working businessman who's sacrificed his adult life for some middling success. Think people like Rupert Murdoch, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, etc., not some random Singh in Delhi manufacturing mechanical tractor parts. There's scales to this stuff.
    • This is what I'm talking about. Can you imagine this happening in Europe and the USA let alone India? Apne are just as bad as respecting whites over others and this is seen in pretty much every other ethnic group. The main reasons are- the vast majority of white nations don't have abject poverty and they have invented and discovered so many things. People therefore think that whites are rich and that also gets them respect. Do you think a Korean or Japanese will get respect by the average Indian in India? They'll probably get mistaken for a poor Nepali or North East Indian and be called chinky.
