Also found it interesting that daljit singh bittu sed the boundaries of khalistan will be made afterwards, not b4.

Surprised - you guys not seen this video - i have still got this on VHS !

Why is that interesting that bittu would set boundaries afterwards, he did not have control then, as he does not have a clue now - Sohan Singh ran things - and he sold out.!!

yes this video also included the bhog of Singh Soorma Brahma,(although briefly) as well as other people who are still in Chardi Kala !

This video shows the utter chaos that was - during the movement - and you can see that no-one (sikh jathebandi) had control even after sarbat khalsa - that's why it came to a horrible so-called end - Police knew that they could end it if given a free hand - and Beanta did - when he came to power.

Patwant Singh, glad that i had met him, sad he has now passed,

he is spot on, ' let him (Mann) fight elections, let him come to power if the people support him'', (I am not a Mann supporter) but read between the lines........... as this still applies today.

Mark Tully is a GOI mouthpiece (stating the obvious). I remember he was interviewed by the BBC AN a few years back. This was before I began learning about the events of the 80s and Sikhi in general, and Mr. Tully pulled out the classic "Jarnail Singh was an agent of Congress....he hypnotised youth....etc, etc.". I was quite shocked how he was given free reign to go to town on so many sensitive issuesd on a national radio station. This joker put a lot of shanka in my mind at the time as I didn't know any better, but thankfully that is now gone. :biggrin2:

This is probably the wrong thread to ask this question, but did all the people who lost their lives (Singhs who fought the Indian forces, but more pertinently the sangat who were caught up in the army action) have an Akhand Paath (or a bhog?) in their memory? Who was responsible for this --- the families of those who died or was a huge collective bhog held at Sri Darbar Sahib itself?

Without wishing to enter into superstitious territory I would hope the souls of those caught up in the carnage are at peace.

notice how when the policemans family was killed by hired killers in a land dispute they right away blame it on the "terrorists" and spend a good chunk of the documentary talking about it but when kharkus killed the man who shot a innocent hindu they only talk about for a brief moment and treat it like it was nothing and quickly move on to talk about something else
