Sikh Memorial - Badal - "no Pictures Just Gurdwara"

The problem is the jathedar is demanding retiree pension and he's 60 some odd years old and Badal is 92 years old and still "jawan".

Take back the SGPC and our Gurudwaras and we take back the panth. They play dirty politics and plant snakes into various jathas to further divide people. The ultimate jatha is the Khalsa Panth!

the only real alternative is for sikh intellectuals to form a new political party and get popular with the marginalized sections like dalit sikhs, bhayiyas as well as panthic supporters - there is no dearth of them as was evident from outpouring of support during rajona's case -

call it something secular like ENSAAF party - and if we manage to form govt , we can get sikh jujharoos out of jail , initiate proceedings against police officers such as gill, saini, sandhu, alam .....

Also then we can build all the memorials and even spend some of the tax money to educate people about sikhi principles as well as all the evil done to us

so the key is to win democratic mandate - as they say , jisdi lathi osdi majh - we will then be able to defeat them at their own game.

Democracy relies on a fair political system. Not sure how far you would get when faced with corrupt police, media and politicians blocking your path. Would you really be able to compete with Badal giving free alcohol to the addicts in exchange for votes?

Wouldn't the best memorial (and best use of the funds allocated to the memorial) be to strive for the type of Panth the Shaheeds wanted ... by way of practical projects to address female infanticide, eliminate jaath-paath-biraderi in the true spirit of 1699, ensuring 100% literacy amongst today's young generation of children and village programmes to combat the drugs menace. Once we have 100% literacy, access to computers at every village school, an equal male/female ratio and less youngsters hooked on drugs ... it will inevitably follow that awareness of the Genocide against innocent Sikhs pursued by Indira + her wretched son will never be forgotten.
