Panesar accepted a fixed-penalty notice from police after urinating on nightclub bouncers at 4am on Monday.

The incident happened after the 31-year-old spinner was thrown out of the Shoosh Club in Brighton following complaints from a group of women about his behaviour.

Panesar’s county, Sussex, launched an investigation yesterday and will report to the England management who have become increasingly concerned in recent weeks by reports of his behaviour on and off the field.

If Sussex suspend Panesar, the action will be supported by the England and Wales Cricket Board, but there is also a realisation that he could need help and support, which would be provided by the Professional Cricketers’ Association.

Andy Flower, the England head coach, is a stickler for discipline and will not be happy that a player who was part of the England squad as recently as the Old Trafford Ashes Test last week, has been in trouble with the police, particularly for “drunk and disorderly” conduct.

I'm so glad he does not wear a dastar and does not in public at least use and therefore tarnish the 'Singh' name. Obviously I'm not condoning his shenanigans but at least there is some damage limitation. What I found amusing was the name of the club. When my son was a little younger my wife would ask him if he wanted to go for a shooshoo... :D

Wherease befkoofs like that Hardip Kohli fella who got done for acting inappropriately and sexual harassment in 2009 brings Dastar wearing Singhs a bad name. He's also the same budhoo that questioned Mota Singh QC in a Telegraph article a year later about why he spoke out for the right of a 14 year old to wear his kirpan in school.

uh ? Isn't he one of the most famous dastar wearing Sikhs on the planet ? (in the eyes of non-sikhs) I mean if you were to ask the average Australian, Englishman, New Zealander or South African to name one turban wearing Sikh it will be Monty Panesar.

so let me see....

sikh does something bad - he/she must have been provoked...

muslim person does something bad - it's to do with their faith?

....we should be a bit more consistent!!

We don't have any lines in our scriptures which says Verily of the book go out and urinate on the bouncers of the kuffar

Where as we can find verses for some of the bad stuff we find muslims doing, there are some bad things not recommended in islam like a muslim killing another muslim of the same sects unprovoked is against islam. At several times from some media outlet we can find at least one muslim justifying it on the net with verses.
