What happened to the promises to help the release of Sikhs from various people including Jathedhar of the Akal Takht , various Sant Samaj leaders such Dhumma, Rode. The Nihangs Nanaksar and others did not say anything at the time of the protests so nothing is expected there.

It comes back to that only when Sikhs protest do issues get raised otherwise our organization go back to their comfortable lifestyle with Badal/RSS.

Same deal in the uk what are Sikh Council UK doing since the second set of papers showing uk government involvement in 1984 operation blue star and further curtailment of legirmate Sikh activities in the UK like banning nagar kirtans and sports tournaments ?

Complete silence from Sikh council uk. Sikh federation at least raised the issue. Same with the recent machete attack on a young Sikh in mold, Wales from an individual tied up with white supremacist / Nazi ideology I e: a terrorist attack . Sikh council uk takes the same line as the uk media calling it a "racially motivated attack" . again Sikh federation correctly labeled it as a terrorist attack.

We will soon find out the traitors from the genuine people now that the Sikh Manifesto 2015 has been released let's see who supports it and who doesn't. Many of the so called panthic people are compromised they tow the government line or keep silent in return for grants etc. One thing is clear don't vote conservative ! 1984 blue star, Delhi 84, thatcher/Gandhi Westland helicopters, enquiry cover up, no independent enquiry.. Enough said..

Agree with everything said but voting for any of the main parties wont make a jot of difference to Sikhs. We are unable to rely on promises of these vote hungry politicians (moo dhe mithe) say one thing and once in power back out use lame excuses, blaming forces that prevent them from investigating in FULL the truth. Even the long awaited Iraq Inquiry will be riddled with holes and get out clauses for devil incarnate Tony Blair, so for us it will be bleak eitherway!

Exactly Sikh organizations are in a guddar in India who would rather stay silent in Panthic issues occurring today. It really gets on my nerves just thinking about us as Panth today and how we are being oppressed to an extent where a Gurbaksh Singh couldn't even go to Harmandar Sahib because of Akal Takht Jathedar and SGPC. Worse scenarios are so called Sikh councils/organizations outside of India that are taking bribes or remain quiet. If Sikhs get a good leadership in the future, it will be a day i will probably never thought would happen.

Analyze the whole leadership situation properly.

Lets leave the religious heads confined to their religious duty only.

Majority of sikh residents in punjab are not attached with sant samaj or so on anyway.

What we need is the social 'educated' leader who is dedicated to social work more than personal life.

We have good preachers but their mindset is only limited to making money by creating controversies.

So, do not rely on religious leaders to get social justice.

Yes, we should rely on religious leaders to move the Panth towards social justice but today is not the case. I do agree we need a social educated leader though.

There should always be seperation of church and state. Religiius leaders do have duties when it comes to moral life of a person and they need to address the spirituality of individuals. They should only strictly focus on religion. If they do that then we wont see that much patit-pan and druggies in our kaum.

When we have over 90% of patit youth and same percentage of their dad drinking, i am sure that place is doomed for sikhi and with such huge number of patit residents will most likely be voting for those who looks/live like them.

So my main point is that there is no hope for panthic minded sikhs in India.

And those who are calling themself panthic in india are either on last lifeline of hope and/or are there onky foe their own personal agenda.
