You can't have a discussion about the Ahamadyias and lump them with 'Muslims'. For example, the constitution of Pakistan and other muslim countries specificaly state that Ahamadyas are NOT Muslims. i.e Muslims do NOT think of Ahamadyias as Muslims.

Once you get that out of the way you can go on and appreciate and understand this faith group's infactuation with Sikhism. Internationally known as Ahamadyias they themselves call themselves 'Quaidians', after the village Quaidian in District Gurdaspur, Punjab. That is where their faith was born. So, when you appreciate how a religion was born in the real majha heartland of the Sikhs you begin to understand how important our Gurus are to them as 'pirs'.

They're wrong of course but bearing in mind how they are being persecuted and massaced by Muslims all over south asia I say we tolerate this persecuted group, understand why they might be thinking what they're thinking and simply let them be.

Yep, I thought the Ahmaddaiya term rung a bell. They're mischief making of course, but these guys get it real bad from other Muslims. They're practically viewed as apostates and not really Muslims. I read somewhere they're persecuted in places like Pakistan, and are lumped in with the Christians and other non desirable non-Muslims.

Ahmadis are like the Radhasoamis of the Muslims. The founder of the ahmadi cult was a fraud. All the false ideas that Pakistanis have of Guru Nanak Dev Jee being a Muslim is largely based on Mirza Ghulam Ahmad's lies. At the time Giani Ditt Singh had written a good article refuting Mirza Ahmad's claims.

When Mirza Ghulam Ahmad claimed Guru Nanak Dev Jee is a Muslim he did not do it out of some kind of infatuation or love for Sikhi. He makes the claim that Guru Jee is a Muslim but then goes on to say that since the Guru of the Sikhs is a Muslim then logically the Sikhs must also become Muslim. See the problem is not the average Muslim Punjabi who out of ignorance thinks Guru Nanak Dev Jee was a Muslim or just respects Guru Jee as his ancestors have done before him. But their dawah preachers who have sinister motives behind claiming Guru Nanak Dev Jee as a Muslim. When these preachers claim Guru Jee is a Muslim we should always oppose their claim. Can you imagine how Muslims would feel if someone claimed Prophet Muhammad was a Buddhist or Hindu? Muslims would be up in arms. Yet we act all lovey dovey.

And Ahmadis are not some kind of peaceful lovable Sufi group. During the Singh Sabha movement, the Ahmadis were very active in spreading Islam. Many of the tactics that Muslims today in the UK use like street Dawah, debates were created by the Ahmadis over a 100 years ago. If you read their literature they consider fanatics like that crazy Jihadist Syad Ahmad Barelvi and Shah Ismail as heroes who tried to over throw Sikh rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh but were destroyed by the Khalsa in battle of Balakot and this is surprising sine they claim to oppose violence Jihad. They write very negatively about Sikh rule in Punjab.

Also remember jonny, it was these middle class ahmediyas, who also instigated along with jinnah, the idea of ethnically cleansing panjab of sikhs n hindus durin tue 1940s. Thats y wen i c all the pain n struggle they go through in current times among sunnis and the mass ahmediya killings afta partition by panjabi muslim sunnis, i give em NO sympathy.
