Boxing is a tamasha.. Sikhs are not bazigars, we use our abilities as the last resort, and not to entertain anyone.

Boxing is brilliant. The stamina training is top notch and the experience of actually being hit and continuing to fight is one of the most important to prepare people for real physical altercations.

If people don't have the abilities (to a high standard) in the first place, how the hell do you expect them to use them in a 'last resort' scenario?

But unarmed combat skills are really necessary especially with the rapidly changing scenario in Europe , this is what Lana Logan eperienced in Cairo it will give some idea of what the ladies experienced in Cologne and Stuttgart , and many females in Scandinavia have been subjected to.

You think fast bowling non athletic?

Now im not sure, but not many cricket players are bowlers, while in other sports most positions require athletic skill. Simple and straight, cricket isnt the hardest sport.

Too busy trying to accumulate enough cash to buy that 2nd or 3rd house in order to rent it out to Poles or other recent arrivals; to keep the mortgage going, of course. Plus, there's all those weddings and parties to attend, and one must wear the latest fashions at such get-togethers, lest people talk. Don't forget the luxurious car, BTW. And the bi-annual package holiday to mainland Europe... to keep the kids happy, you see.

Ingrained cultural proclivities stretching back thousands of years will, sadly, always emerge ahead of a method of existing that requires serious introspection, concentration, and faith (Sikhi). There's no getting away from that. Sikhi is fast becoming a symbolic irrelevance to most of our people over here, that has very little practical use in day-to-day existence. Their loss.

I'm not against learning boxing.. Just that if you are going to show off etc then it becomes a tamasha. If you try to entertain others with it, then it is a tamasha, but if you want to learn self defense then it is totally fine.

It's a sport in that context, not 'showing off'.
