I don't belive it is alright to use our Holy places for business.

We also have Yogi Bhajan doing this and using holy places and names for his billiondollar business empire. What is surpising is that he has even made a site www.goldentemple.com (check this out) and then hding behind the garb that he is a "sri singh sahib" (should be sri scandal sahib")

I mean a site saying the name of Darbar sahib and there is nothing about Darbar sahib but a usual money making business?

This is preety unfair yogi has captured even the domain which sikhs could have used for telling the world about golden temple as goldentemple.com.

But no now see and drink some yogi tea and granualar nuts.

Also next step should be punjabi newspaper advertisement of babay (peer syed, ajmeri) on gurdwara permises. THat's the main issue to be dealt with.. and it's gonna be ugly fight..

1 step at a time, Ill try and get some company info, people from southall shud know, not sold in my area.

urge friends and family to boycott, I will try and get sompany info then we need to start writing in.

once we win this battle we will start on the golden temple, wentern products.

there is another issue here aswell, they are saying golden temple, which is wrong, Harmandir Sahib is not a temple as sikhs do not worship idols, etc, the word it self in completely wrong and sikhs should refarain from using it, say "mistakenly known as the Golden Temple"

Whilst searching for some information on Guru Nanak Dev Ji, I found this:

I personally did not like the way Guru Nanak Dev Jis name is being used for all these products. And since the company is based in NM, which I presume is New Mexico, it is probably associated with 3HO/Yogi Bhajan.

We do have to take some action against all of these companies but as said in the previous post here, we need to do it one step at a time.

If I remember correctly, there was a petition going around about 10 years ago against the "Golden Temple Atta" company. I know they were asked to stop using the image and the name. I don't know what their response was... but it obviously didn't work. Maybe the results will be different this time around.
