Christmas or Thanks giving/holidays?

In the USA Christmas is refered to as Thanksgiving or the Holidays. This is due to being a secular country that does not want to impose its beliefs on others. 

In the UK its simply called Christmas. Should the UK follow suit and only refer to christmas as the holidays or thanksgiving in the interest of being secular?

I'm sure more and more Muslims will complain and the name will change soon.

That is not tye question. From the Sikh point of view and belief. Should the name be changed or not?

No, why try and take away something that means a lot to many people, it's there religions big day - Jesus' birth. Leave it as Christmas, the Christians will respect that and who cares what the secular people think, they've took people away from the real message, it now become Christmas shopping for presents next to a Christmas tree. Just googled it, apparently there are around 32 million Christians in the Uk

Thanksgiving is a seperate holiday. Its celebrated in November. We have 4 days off for it, its for when one of the first english ships arrived in america and the natives helped them and had a feast. But liberals want to stop that holiday because it supposedly celebrates the killing of the natives.

As sikhs,.i think we should encourage ppl to call it christmas, and remember their religious founder and God that day. As most western countries are Christian, its ok of they celebrate their culture and religion.

Also, the liberals wont stop here, what if in India, they start saying the holidays given for Vaisakhi and Gurpurbs be secularized? How would we feel abt that?

I don't see the point of changing it from 'Sikh' perspective,  it has nothing to do with us.

There is something called a balanced view and you don't have it.

Christmas can be celebrated by Christians.  They certainly don't need encouragement because they have tried to shove Christmas down every man and women throat who comes across them.  They start by trying to brainwash young innocent kids by using the publicly funded SECULAR school system.

Vaisakhi is ahead of us so walk down to your public school department and put in an application where you will be allowed to force young kids to sing Gurbani on Vaisakhi and how amrit from Punj pyare were started.  Tell us here what happens to your application.   How happy and how many hugs you got from the public secular school system you got for putting in this application. 

And don't forget to record your kids singing Christmas songs funded by the secular public school system.

No, it isn't. Categorically untrue. If you don't know what Thanksgiving is, Google it. There's no "Or."

Also, when Muslims seize control of Canada and Europe in 2070 or so, I hope most of you and your descendants won't be crying into your daliya when Vaisakhi and Diwali is banned for being shirk.
