Question - how do you know the people behind the posts are Sikh ?

One can easily on social media get images , setup sikh names , and post stuff which is anti sikh to cause a stir / controversy.

I think they should be ignored , don't give them the lime light , let them do whatever they do behind closed doors ...

That guy is real and the shocking fact is that his wife wrote a children's book about Guru Nanak. These leftist liberal muppets do everything in their power to subvert our kids with their BS.

I like a lot of what you say. But defining Sikh as student only, and God as truth only, and saying there is no religion and no distinct Dharam that we come into accord with, one could almost ..twist.. Sikhi into a philosophy...a study...an athiest like perversion of what it is..turn it into an ISM. As is done to many things.

You don’t get it. One God, Truth is His name. No image, no color no form.

Sat is the path, it’s the truth. And we are students of the Sat. Going further we Are Sat, ocean in the drop, drop in the ocean. It’s beyond a sect or institution of any kind. It’s All Pervading.. you, me, the Hindu, the Muslim, the Christian, the horse, the pig. Everything.

All in One and One in All. That’s the first lesson we were taught, no Hindu, no Muslim, only One. Until people realise that, there’s no real walking further on the path, we’re lost because we don’t see that it’s just a Khel.

Yet again you've not responded to anything said. You're talking to yourself.

For someone who claims to love truth you don't deal in it well. Feigned ignorance is dishonest.  Avoiding the issue is dishonest.  Responding to points not made by other posters as if they had made them, when they haven't, is dishonest.

For example, your first paragraph contradicts me, not anything I said, then makes a statement I agree with as if I'd said something to the contrary, which I haven't.

You're a deceiver, who hides from truthful conversation.

Trying to use oneness to create nothingness as is being done world wide.

A Sikh.. is a student of Truth

God, is Truth, is Sat, as per Gurbani.

The Dharam, is Sat. Period. Anything else, is illusion. Don’t get it twisted, it’s not complicated as people make out.

Misconception one you like to skip.

Sikh is not a simple synonym for student only. It refers to actual conscious students of Akal Purakh who practice Dharam.

Your definition makes everyone a Sikh and a Sikh into nothing. I object. Respond directly and save the fortune cookie.

Lol. Do you think your responses are cilivlised or even Sikh like. Students of Truth. The student becomes the teacher, the teacher becomes the student. One and the same. No b/s ie maya in between  Stop complicating, it’s simple.

They're also adept liars, cultural appropriators, infiltrators and makers of isms.

God is beyond Truth alone. Don't try to replace it with god is just truth.

We should never befriend muslims as they will end up burning you. Be civil with them at work and school but never get too close. Conversion is always on their minds, even the less religious ones will try to convert you.

Look at what muslims have done to us throughout history - Killed and fought against several of our gurus, massacred our people in Rawalpindi when they wanted Pakistan to be formed, attacking our girls with grooming gangs and just 6 weeks ago they massacred 30 Sikhs in a Gurdwara in Afghanistan.

They have always been the aggressors with us, I can't think of any time when Sikhs have started trouble with muslims unprovoked.

Instead of befriending them we need to retaliate against them when they attack us. I really rate the Sikhs of 1947 who were outnumbered 4 to 1 by muslims in pre partition Punjab, they managed to inflict far more casualties on the muslims than we suffered. Sikhs back then retaliated with ferocity. Today's Sikhs are too busy building mosques for them in Punjab. We should have done something to get even for the Afghanistan gurdwara attack instead of meekly complaining. Once the Coronavirus outbreak is over our idiotic leaders in Delhi will go back to giving langar to their protestors.

We should never give them support for Kashmir, it makes me very angry when I see some Sikhs marching alongside them at some pro kashmir rally. Let them fight their own battles and we can fight out own.

There is One Religion not no religion.

You weren’t speaking to me like a sister before. You need to learn to respect others in action and in your speech before all else. And before you call others uncivilized look at yourself first and ask if you are practicing hypocrisy.

God is Truth, and everything else is an illusion ie maya. When u see past the illusion and see the Truth, you’re free. Truth is fearless Unconditional Love, Nirboah and Nirvair. That’s why the Gurus said you must Give your head to find him, because the mind must be silenced, until only the true heart speaks. He’s found with love.

There is no religion as per Guru Nanak, no Hindu no Muslim only One. I’m not sure why you continue to twist his words to your own meanings. He made it quite clear.

Only One God, His name is Sat ie Truth. Fearless, all loving. Nothing I have have stated is different to what we’re taught in gurbani... it’s not my own logic... it’s there for you to take and apply to your life. I’m telling you gurbani, but maybe you should just read and accept it yourself instead. I am wasting my time here. Why you want to confine God to a religion is beyond me, but the fact is that he is you, me, your computer, the words you type. Confining him to a religion is your own egoistic prerogative, complicating things when really it’s as simple as accepting that All is Him.

    • Ok, I think hadiths play a role in the conflict too because they reject each others hadiths. They  basically arguing over one matter but each using a different set of books with different narratives lol  Cant see them reaching a conclusion with that any time soon!   Shias dont like Aisha the child bride. Sikhs are really lucky that we dont have major differences in Sikh sects like muslims and Christian's do. The worst I can think of is the nirankaris and their on going line of gurus but they are pretty much are out of the fold of Sikhi now and did whatever damage they wanted to back in the 80s.
    • Yes, @MuslimNeighbour, please do enlighten us on this (and other questions we have).
    • That's not entirely true. There is a Hadith (and I'm paraphrasing here as I don't remember all the details) when the prophet initially invited all the quresh tribes to dinner to invite them to Islam. He asked the question, who will be my brother (in faith), my friend and my successor (khalifa). Imam Ali immediately stood up. The prophet asked him to sit down (as he was still quite young, though extremely loyal to the prophet from day one). The prophet asked the question again, and again the same thing happened. On the third time, when Imam Ali stood up, the prophet said, very well, you will be my brother, my friend and my successor. This hadith is found in both sunni and shia books. There is also a verse in the quran (and please correct me if I'm wrong) where Allah says that he chooses his khalifa. Depending on the context of this verse, this could invalidate the khalifate of Abu Bakar and validate the divinity of Ali being the khalifa. There is also a "Hadith-e-Noor" (found in both sunni and shia books) in which the prophet says, Me and Ali are created from the same light. These (and many others) are just some of the points which could point to the divine claim that Imam Ali was indeed the divine successor to the prophet.  But yes, there was plenty of killing of the family of the prophet. And many battles ensued, which resulted in parts of the quran being lost. But...that's a different topic entirely....
