It saddens us to say that this morning Keertan.Net was hacked and a disgusting pornographic image was placed on it's homepage.

Whoever has done this is truely a heartless fiend. Such an act of cowardice and malice is dispicable.

We just want to officially apologize to any sangat that may have seen it and put out a benti for any information on this. We are going to try to get the FBI involved and are currently collecting evidence. This is a very sad incident. We have re-secured our server and rotated our passwords.

I was listening to some Kirtan on keertan.net yesturday nite (Uk time approx 7-8 pm 4th Jan) and everything worked fine.

VAheguru.- May Guru SAhib give these people samat who put pornographic material on a Panthik site with Guru SAhib ji's own bachan on it

Hey waheguroo! is it difficult to hack keertan.net?? I mean, cud it only have been done by people with advanced knowledge of hacking?? Do u need help coz i know a guy whos a hacker - i can get him to check it out n see if theres nething more u can do to secure it.

Also, i dont think it was neone on these forums or neone from sangat. Just hackers who were bored most likely.

That's the prob with the net- too much of that sort of BS going on- easiest ways to avoid that happening is better security, spending minimal time uploaing to servers to avoid anyone getting your passwords, changing passwords regularly with passwords including different cases and numbers- common sense stuff.
