Please clarify your question...

These types of questions are of no meaning and are pure manmat, it doesn't matter what he use to tie, it was a dastar/dumalla, who cares how long it was? We shouldn't get into all these ritualistic things, its not good!! :D

He's just asking why Guru Sahib wore such a big Dumalla?

I don't understand why a question on hstory related to our Guru Sahib can be "pure manmat!"

"Paagh Baare Bandhey" - perhaps to some, even this pantkee from a a puratan rehitnaama might seem manmat aswell.

It is manmat!

Instead of worrying about how big your pugg is or how big your kirpan is worry about how much bani you read today, worry about how much simran/sewa you did today.

You wanna tie a 18 inch dumalla go a head, but remember Guru ji says all these ornaments, etc you wear are like dressing a dead body, they all stay here, you only take your bani/simran along with you. rolleyes.gif

Sat Sri Akal:

Manmat? No, just an innocent question. Perhaps Raz Singh Ji, you could do some research for us?

It may seem like a trivial question...but some things start out trivial and end up interesting. For instance, Guru Hargobind Sahib wore two swords...the Miri and the Piri. Someone observed that one sword was 40 (Piri) inches long and the other 38 (Miri) inches long, symbolizing that the Saintliness (Piri) must always overshadow the Soldier (Miri), if only be a little.

lol Did I say that? Check your eyes bro

Sure you have to be a sabat soorat singh, but if you just have bana and no bani then you're useless. Also for some people, it creates hankar or haumay, making them feel superior than someone who isn't wearing bana.
