The Martyrdom of the Behla Brothers By Baljeet Singh Khalsa in Khandaydhaar June 2003 In the Taran Taaran area, there is a village, Behla. In Behla, Sd. Arlok Singh, a farmer had two sons, Dilbahg Singh and Surjeet Singh. Because Dilbaag Singh was of a religious bent of mind, he left his family in 1980 and began to stay with the Kar Seva Babas. His family tried to bring him back many times, but he refused outright. In the end, the family was forced to accept his decision. When in 1981 the Dharam Yudh Morcha was reaching its climax, Sant Jarnail Singh jee’s personality was coming into the spotlight and young Sikhs were being drawn to him. While staying with the Ka…

Dear Sangat, vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! Gurmat Gian Course-2 is about to start, November 5th to be precise. I'm sure many of us can benefit from Professor Darshan Singh Ji Khalsa's understanding of many Gurmat topics. I have been an online student at the GGS Academy for the meaning of Sukhmani Sahib course. In practise it meant downloading an MP3 and listening to it for 1 hour (average), plus thinking and understanding what was said. I found it very rewarding. sign up at http://www.ggsacademy.com/index.htm wishes of peace "Gurbani is not a subject of listening and reading only. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! With all my respect to Guru Granth Sahib I wish to express my views about the sorry state of Gurudwaras today. As the institute of Gurdewara is not centralized most places have become justa place of Darshan... and mathah tek..... not nothing more................. No one preaches about the rehat maryada........the granthis not even translate the the Hukamnama........... Actually there is no vision........... :T: Lot has to be done to preach Gurmat and Gurbani to the masses ..... These have rather become a place of politics Bhul Chuk Muaf

As Sikhs, the Guru advices us to stay on the path of GurSikhi, which is the Sikh’s only way to the next world. When we live our days without devotion to Naam and Meditation (remembrance of Waheguru), we are only wasting our life away. When we realise that we are in this world to prepare for the next, only then can we live without fear of death. The Path is simple because the Guru has already chosen it for us. All we need to do is follow the Guru’s instructions – live in Truth and be Gurmukh. Death comes to all, and all must suffer separation. Go and ask the clever people, whether they shall meet in the world hereafter. Those who forget my Lord and Master shall suffer …

waheguru jee ka khalsa! waheguru jee kee fateh! There was a thread started a looooooong time ago about Bibi Sukhmani Kaur and the story that she wrote about her path to sikhi. Does anyone know this Bibi and if you do, could you please help me get in contact with her. We are trying to find inpirational Bibian for an upcoming project through the Guru Nanak Academy and if we could get Sukhmani Kaur to help us it would be such an advantage for us. Please message me privately if you can help. And of course ask Sukhmani Kaur for permission first. Thank You Bismaadh Kaur
