vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! I have seen lots of translations of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib (as I am really poor in Punjabi). BUT, this is the first one that I have seen... that actually rhymes! Please check it out: GuruGranthSahib.com Now I know that when I read it, it "feels" much better than the non-translated versions, but is that OK? I mean it is possible that some translation may have gotten lost in the process of making it rhyme. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!

"One who works diligently for the Guru, the True Guru - the GurSikhs work for him." I was looking at the thread about khalsa04 being sacked from domino's and read the post by akjforever saying that khalsa04 should take it as a sign not to work in a place where meat is handled... a valid point in my opinion.... In the following shabad Guru Sahib tells exactly who should a Gursikh work for.... This Shabad is by Guru Raam Daas Ji in Raag Gauree on Ang 317 bhul chuk maaf karni jee Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

Peter Singer's Article What do you guys think? I have read some of Peter Singer's articles and they have some good points. Does this fit into Gurmat thinking about meat etc? Remember his philosophy is Vegan-based, ie take nothing from animals! we use milk etc ps. sorry, admins. this is not directly Sikh philosophy, but i think it doesn't fit in any other thread.

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, Amrit is properly the most important decision a person makes in his life. It is important you understand it. Amrit is not something cheap which is distributed to everyone. But something so Pavitaar (special), that you accept - "Phela Maran Kabul hai, Jeevan ke Chad Aass". (Accept death, leave your lifes wishes behind.) Before I took Amrit, I read Bhai sahib Randhir Singh ji book. “Amrit ke hai” or “Meaning of Sikh Baptism”. This is a fantastic book, because it questions you. It asks you the fundamental question why are you taking Amrit? If your answer is I want to spend the rest of my life Jaapping Naam, in …

sangat ji I was having discussion sort of with my parents bout wanting to at least try to become a proper sikh, in other words, hoping to shako amrit some day. We had a wedding reception to go to and my mom was like "go tweeze your eyebrows." and I was like I don't wanna do it, cuz I hadn't done it for a few weeks and it was quite obvious....anyway...they go on to tell me that in these foreign countries its like practically impossible to be a gursikh. Ppl who have shako'd amrit are running liquor stores and selling cigarettes to ppl--->how is that being a gursikh? then they said that americans here would not wanna hire a amritdhari women with dastaar cuz she looks d…

With regards to all, dr sukhraj singh dhillon USA ************************************ ik oankar satnaam kartapurakh gurprasad|| Something I and every Sikh soon realises is that there are alot of contradictions in the religion. This confuses the seeker and many get disillusioned and leave the path. Or just carry on the path but nev…

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! i found this lesson very similar to what Maharaj ji tell us "You are always given a single moment. You are not given two moments together. If you know how to live one moment you know the whole secret of life." Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
