Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh! Guru Pyare Khalsa Sadh Sangat Jeeo, Yesterday was a very interesting day in that we learned the advantages and dangers of our actions. We protested against HaHaPanties having a Khanda on their panties for sale. The reaction was, few people sent polite e-mails to this individual. However, many people sent veiled death threats, curse words, and embarrassing e-mails. This action of our members has hurt the entire seva team of SikhSangat.com. We feel personally embarrassed and offended by the conduct of some hooligans. Furthermore, this puts a stain on the whole of the sangat that visits this forum. Lastly, this action re…

Importance of the Khanda I think after all the hostility that came about from the activity yesterday, some people need a iltle education on what the Khanda really is and means. Apologies in advance for any mistakes or omissions. The Khanda has a very special significance within the Sikh faith and it's spiritual significance solidifies the basis and beliefs of a Sikh.It is comprised of 3 parts, the central Khanda (from which the name is derived), the Chakkar and the twin Kirpans. The Khanda, a large double edged dagger, signifies the divine ability to distinguish truth from falsehood. It is also used during the preparation of Amrit thus carries a very special meaning. …

Isn't it wrong to judge boys and girls when they are born. I mean to say when babys are born, such if it was a boy there would be lohri and a party, and everyones happy, but when their is a girl its just like wutever. Isn't that wrong, i mean there is so much difference between a girl and a boy.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. To all my brothers and sisters out there, we all know that Radhasoami exists. Sikhs in this very modern time do tend to follow their beliefs, and still class themselves as sikhs. This email is not a hatred email, nor supportive, this email is here to open the eyes of sikhs out there. Recent studies and investigations show that Radhasoami are aiming to take over sikhi by conversion. They are now making sure that sikhs that do attend their weekly dereh to take naam. Naam is an official baptism process, where an indvidual says five words: "onkaar, satnam, jhot-ni…

Take a look at the following on the bbc bham site. http://www.bbc.co.uk/birmingham/content/ar...g_feature.shtml http://www.bbc.co.uk/birmingham/faith/sant...ari/index.shtml http://www.bbc.co.uk/birmingham/faith/fait...ity/index.shtml Given the obvious logic the bbc is using here is that I supose if there was a large nazi community living in bham would they put up a website advertising/promoting their beliefs. "Aryan nation, pure blood, supreme race etc" Im sure they could tart it up in the way they clearly have done for the dirty nirankaris to make it sound all happy happy joy joy. Does anyone have any reference for a bbc complaints page? Any ideas on a template let…

Boycott UCL Seminar Series Sikh Youth Alerts would like to call upon the Sikh youth to boycott Seminar Series being held at UCL entitled “"KEEP ON WALKING" Seminar Series.” The speaker Cpt. Sukhdev Singh from Malaysia has very controversial Anti-Panthic views. In a talk in 2004 Cpt Sukhdev Singh was encouraging chairs to be taken up in Darbars and said “in the future we will give amrit to even those who do not have 5k’s. We are focused on the form to much, we need to look at the formless” he said Kesh where not significant and other views to which are in direct contrast with Akal Takath. He said Sikhi need to be allowed to take its own form in different parts of the worl…
