WJKK WJKF, This is my first post here so I thought I'll contribute something. I was listening to Rehraas Sahib and couldn't help noticing the people walking behind. I was shocked when I saw that about 90-95% of the elders with a pagh have a pot belly. I know sikhi is not about caring about your appearance but isn't this taking it to a new level. Don't they have gyms?

A relation of mine has just given birth to a baby boy recently. Other than receiving the starting letter from the Guru to choose a name, are there any other rules? For instance, does the name have to have it's origin from Sanskrit/India ? Can a western name be chosen?

Hi guys.... If your done flaming the Baba ....... Read this I had made a youtube channel to help young Sikhs about Sikhism..... Now that I had some time and remembered the password I setup the channel, the background, the pictures, the text, ext....... I have some video's in mind which I want to upload ..but I don't know where to get them, If you could help me do. I will upload all video's which the sangat here wants me to RELATED WITH SIKHISM. Just heard the new album by Babbu Mann - Singh Better Than King - all I can say it is the most revolutionary album I have ever heard from a singer like Babbu Mann - the issues mentioned - the Panthic Dardh in the songs paints a picture of what state the Sikh Nation is in and what state our homeland Panjab is in ,from corruption,fake gurus,destruction of the Panjabi language,useless leaders and so on.Along side that references are made to the modern day Sikh Heros such as Babbar Jagtar Singh Hawara - and our histroical Leaders/Heros - A must have album for all

Ludhiana, Punjab: Taking serious view of Ragi darshan singh’s blasphemic pronouncements for tenth Sikh master Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Sikh students Federation (Mehta) has decided to burn effigies of Darshan Singh tomorrow throughout Punjab. Sat Sri Akal everyone....I have recently noticed that in Gurudwaras, the Raagi Jathas chant Waheguru name in a peculiar manner...i.e non stop without taking a breath and chanting very fast. My personal view is that Waheguru should be chanted in a slow manner by feeling the word from inside and concentrating. The way the Waheguru name is chanted by some Raagi jathas, it just reminds me of Hindu rituals of chanting a name non stop without feeling for it. Chanting the name non stop and very fast seems as if we are playing a game as to how long we can chant something before we loose the pronounciation. I think the whole idea of chanting Waheguru is to focus on the Almighty …

Since this controvery about babas started I am thinking about how can be differentiate who is actual SANT. Gurbani gives lot of importance to Sant jan. If you search searchgurbani.com and put the word sant there, you come up with thousand lines having the word SANT in it. And we all know that Pancham patshah go in great detail in Sukhmani Sahib what happens to people who slander Sant Jan. So nobody should ever do the ninda of Sant jan. We keep kesh (hair) because the Guru instructed us to do so. Kesh are also a marker of Sikh identity that identify to the world who is a Sikh. Sikhs walk the earth announcing proudly their religion while others give no sign of their convictions. In addition, hair and nails are totally different. Having long nails inhibits use of the hand. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
