Being a representative of all those girls who want to follow the path of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, I am writing this note to ask the society that why their duality is making the Amritdhari or Non-trimmers' life miserable. If We (Amritdhari) galz want to marry with a Gursikh, Gurmukh boy what wrong in it? But no.... we are scolded by our parents, relatives, even by the t…

WAHEGURU JEE KA KHALSA!! WAHEGURU JEE KI FATHE!!! I went to the gurudawara last night and there was a talk about real life cases in the UK of muslims coverting our mothers and sisters to ISLAM!! The talk host talked about how in the past Muslims used to convert people by “FORCE”, but now in this day and age that TEQNIQUE no longer works that well. Muslim mentality is still the same though, they still want to CONVERT but use different TEQNIQUES!! They schemes such as K TO K, which means KAUR TO KHAN, they promote and pay Muslims BOYS and MUSLIM GIRLS to do this. The talk host showed us some shocking facts and pictures, its scary. There are some Muslims out there that…

Im writing an article about muslims of past era, who converted to Sikhism. Does anyone have any info? Examples. ALLAYAR, a wealthy Muslim horse dealer of Delhi, who turned a preacher of Sikhism, first came to Guru Amar Das at Goindva. KATTU SHAH, a Muslim resident of Kashmir who converted a Sikh, was known for his piety and devotion. LAKHBIR SINGH, SANT (1860-1935), a convert to Sikhism, was born Karim Bakhsh to Muslim parents, Natthu and Basri, at Bakapur. Your help would be much appreciated.

Vaheguroo Jee Kaa Khalsaa Vaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh! May you the great sangat help me in my hour of need. Some of you may guess who i am from this post, but i am going to remain anonymous. Can you help me with this difficult situation. I long for sikhi but for a year now i have to keep all my practises silent and covered up from my family members. It is now becoming unbearable as i have no outlet to practise guru jis teachings and the sikhi way of life. With the other wordly anxieties such as exams and trying to cover up sikhi is wearing and making me so tired, upset and angry. If i do decide sikhi ill have to be around 24 when ill be maturer, thats a long way away. So wh…

Just wondering wether you have personal stories where you have inspired those around you, or which sakhia you have used to awaken their sleeping souls

RAAG BILAAVAL, FIFTH MEHL, DU-PADAS, EIGHTH HOUSE: ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU: I am nothing, God; everything is Yours. In this world, You are the absolute, formless Lord; in the world hereafter, You are the related Lord of form. You play it both ways, O my Lord and Master. || 1 || Pause || You exist within the city, and beyond it as well; O my God, You are everywhere. You Yourself are the King, and You Yourself are the subject. In one place, You are the Lord and Master, and in another place, You are the slave. || 1 || From whom should I hide? Whom should I try to deceive? Wherever I look, I see Him near at hand. I have met with Guru Nana…

Parents & Guru Ji 1 2
by Guest Always so many questions- 12 replies
- 1.4k views
Fateh to all. I am very curious in this matter which i am about to propose infront of you, the beautiful sangat. I would like to join sikhi one day but this is damaging the barrier with my parents. If i was to join sikhi i would have to abandon my parents, and they wouldnt go to my wedding or ever talk or even acknowledge me again. So the question which is causing me some stress needless to say is "Do i respect my family's choice by not converting to Sikhi or do i joing the path?" I have heard about respecting your parents and but then again Vaaheguroo is our father, mother... So what do i do? Many thanks and ill be greatful for your input :TH:

I have been reading this forum for a while now and all i see here is that even amritdharis indulge in unacceptable activities esp. involving attachment and lust. This girl is an amritdhari and wants to have a serious relationship with me. I mean aren't parents supposed to find the right match for amritdharis ? She is the one who told me this and she is the one who proposed me. I am confused now. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have my own question now What if one's thinking doesn't match with the person our parents find for us ? What if he/she hasn't got proper schooling ? So is b…

Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ki fateh! I never thought i would have this problem for myself but it seems like ive pushed away for a long time now and its come back to me. I have never felt accepted in my life. I wouldn't say im the most ideal child that a parent would want but i dont think im the most rebelious of us all. I will give you all a litle description of myself: Im very skinny, not very smart, a joker, very opininative, etc. I have firm beliefs in quite a few things and one of them used to be body image. I remember myself telling people that despite what the world says, you are beautiful inside and out. But sitting here today i find myself questioning …
