  1. http://www.canhindu.com/ Check this website, you find this hindu extremist organisation is pushing forward an agenda of hate against Sikh Canadians and banning of the kirpan. A counter organisation needs to be formed, if these type of hindu's want to go down this road. Exposing examples of hindu terrorism and refuting allegations of air india incident in 1985 was done by Sikh separatists (when most of the evidence points towards the RAW) should be the prime issues to address. Canadian Sikhs really need to up their game ignoring anti-sikh organisations and individuals will not make them go away they need to be exposed and tackled in using all forms of media.

  2. I dont know what Gudwara's do for the youth of today, but what i do know is the few gurswara's i have visited are in one word Beautiful. I like the whole 'take your shoes off' concept, not bringing in the dirt of the streets into the lords house, the covering of ones head showed humility and these alone later made me take a step back and think wow, as an 'outsider' as i fully understood why these are important actions in a gurdwara after going into the main section (where the holy scripture was) and seeing such a wonderful sight. I dont think any other religious place (church, mosque, sinagog, etc...) treats their holy scripture with as much importance, grace and devotion as the sikhs in a gurdwara do. They way in which the holy scripture is coverd in that sparkly embroidried material with that fluffy thing waved over it to keep the dust off is very pleasent to watch. With all this in mind, i really should pay another visit soon! :L: Google me!

  3. The Indian government would argue that its a small minority (Sikhs) that are causing "trouble", whereas the rest of the population (the one's they selectively choose to see) are content. The problem is that its this so-called minority that has done the most for the country. Yet our achievements are almost being air-brushed out of history so as to minimise our positive impact on the country, and our right to justice and equality. Had the Sikhs been blessed with savvy, forward-thinking leaders - after the lifetime of Dasme Paatsha - who had taken Guru Gobind Singh Ji's splendid idea of taking Amrit and rendering all classes as equal, such leaders would've realised that everything is a numbers game. They could've targetted the aforementioned poverty-stricken classes and said, "Look, you don't have to be the down-trodden or the misfortunate forever. If you want to embrace Sikhi, then you shall become part of a brotherhood where you will not have to live in shame and be treated like sub-humans". Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't this Guru Ji's original intention? Had someone with the fore-thought of not just their own lifetime but for the eternal survival of Sikhi, carried on this mission we could've seen huge swathes of India become Sikh. I'm referring to a concerted effort - a determined policy to swell the ranks of Sikhs in India, if you will. We needed a canny political thinker and quom-forwarders. We've never been short of mighty warriors - it would've been nice to have someone mighty cerebral too (again, I'm referring to the years after our Gurus). But instead we fell into the trap of kingdom-making and wealth accumulation (in the times of the Sikh Raaj), and we eventually were harried back into Panjab, and that's where we remain to this day. It was a missed opportunity because nobody stepped up and further watered the frankly marvellous seed that Guru Gobind Singh Ji planted. By the time Sant Ji arrived on the scene, it was about the survivial of Sikhi itself - never mind its expansion into other frontiers. Whilst he was successful in his mission, it was a rescue from a situation that could've been avoided if action had been taken 100's of years prior to 1984. Back to the topic in hand (:BL:), when uprisings in Egypt, Tunisia, etc., begin to occur it just makes me think about our own situation and how things desperately need to change.

  4. One thing is interesting - their military is not taking any action on the protesters; even though tanks are in the city - Indian military used their own tanks on their own people in Amritsar (this is another thing that they don't consider Sikhs as a part of their main mainstream and Sikhs in India are 2nd class citizens) and even raged those tanks on Akal Takht Sahib.

  5. This is lies. The forces just go wherever they are told and do whatever they are told. Right or wrong. Then run off when it goes pear shaped like in Iraq. The British military machine has a very long history of this including against the Sikh kingdom. What do you think 'annexation' was. Today the government makes up threats to justify invading other nations with an eye on resources like oil. We clearly saw how they lied about 'weapons of mass destruction' and attacked Iraq, directly and indirectly causing God knows how many deaths including lots of innocent men, women and children. No wonder sullay protest against them! Sikhs keep your wits about you and don't fall for any propaganda. Problems like grooming and conversions we are having with some elements from the Pakistani community shouldn't be generalised to every single Muslim on the globe. That's just plain dumb and absolutely no help in resolving them. If you consider yourself a Singh, a lion no less, don't even contemplate hiding behind hordes of illiterate whites in fear of Muslims, if you do, at least have to honesty to face up to the fact that you are a coward. I'd rather die fighting on my own then join any of these idiots.

  8. hahahaha, so you're too dumb to see any link between dodgy Anglo foreign policy in Muslim lands (usually for oil) and terrorism here? See above and read more books in your spare time. What and EDL yob whitey type culture doesn't encourage slutty, promiscuous drunk behaviour from white males and females? I couldn't give a toss about these troops myself. I think what they are doing abroad is wrong. I think historically what they have generally been doing is wrong. I guess you think that I am a Islamic fundamentalist now. How simple can you be? When it comes to Sikhs, many of them need to learn to stick up for themselves and fight back without crawling up to whites (like you). And for your information you thick donut, there are also white gangs who go around beating up innocents and making their lives hell. Don't say we don't have problems with suck up, cowardly Sikhs who are so scared of sullay that they will get into bed with anyone for help. Look in the mirror to see an example. We used to have our own guys do this too with much better success than EDL thickos, it's just a crying shame we've fallen to the level of having people like you instead now. I'd say we have as much, if not more, problems with apnay/apneean becoming westernised coconuts as we do with sullay. Get a grip on reality and yourself. Stop looking to white people to solve our problems, we have to do it ourselves.

  10. indeed they are cowards but these cowards should not be allowed to get away with their propaganda. We must become pro-active in how we deal with challenges to the panth and those who advocate attacks on the Sikh Khalsa identity. It is about time we started missionary work to open up hinduism and invite hindu's to the Sikh panth. This is what Indian nationalists and brahmin led hindu extremist groups fear most and one thing we should capitalise on and use to our advantage. If we cant or dont want Khalistan, then we should work into making India into a Sikh nation we got a long way to go though Sikhs only number 2% of the Indian population.

Sikhs really need to get active in this situation, primarily in awareness of the past 60 years of indian history. If someone writes a letter saying a sikhs are terrorists, then sikhs have to write 2 letters to show what is our side of the story.

  19. One thing I have noticed that the Police and armed forces have not killing their own people on mass during the demos. In India thousands were killed by the forces. The Police do not hesitate to use live ammunition in India. Could we see the people uprising in India the 80 % who have been left out of economic progress? The recent reports of 35% of Indias wealth having dissapeared offshore taken by its leaders since 1947 has got people angry.

  21. Councils will be sensitive when dealing with Community Centres owned by religious organisations. I cannot imagine they will force a Muslim community centre to serve alcohol. It's a smoke screen and shows the attitude of the Committee who are hiding behind the council rather than implemeting Gurdwara maryada.

  22. Even if (for arguments sake) there was a "council" member on the management committee of the centre, I can't see Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council forcing the rest of the committee to serve alcohol or meat. I suppose we can call Dudley Council up on 0300 555 2345 or contact the local councillors of the St James's ward () and ask them directly "if" they are enforcing alcohol and meat to be served at the Sikh Cultural Centre. The following councillors should be able to shed some light on this. We can feed their comments back to the local sangat. cllr.khurshid.ahmed@dudley.gov.uk cllr.malcolm.davis@dudley.gov.uk cllr.mary.roberts@dudley.gov.uk

  23. I agree, it seems to be a common scenario in many of the Gurdwara's with affiliated party halls. The accounts clearly paint a picture that the Guru ghar would be better off without the financial burden of the Community Centre (aka Sikh Cultural Centre) and as harsh as it sounds for the local sangat, selling off the Community Centre will put Guru Nanak Singh Sabha Gurdwara Dudley in a robust position. As per the Charity Commission info, the current governance framework of Guru Nanak Singh Sabha Gurdwara Dudley shows that the Charity trustees (the Prabhandak committee) currently manage the Gurmat activities in the Guru Ghar and the Anti-Sikh activities in the Community Centre. This is in direct breach of the GNSS Charitable objects "TO ADVANCE THE SIKH RELIGION IN DUDLEY AND THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBOURHOOD ("THE COMMUNITY")." The principles of the Sikh Religion condemns the consumption of alcohol and the universally agreed Gurdwara Maryada from Akal Takht Sahib clearly prohibits meat, alcohol and non-gurmat/non-dharmik songs within the property of the Gurdwaras. http://www.charity-c...sidiaryNumber=0

  26. No one has questioned the work of Khalsa Aid, I even said they did very good work, however does this give him the right to make such comments? This is typical Jatt superiority thinking coming through. Deep down Jatts feels they made the major contribution to Sikhi, so they deserve the power. Other castes have been made to feel the poorer cousins and it’s hardly surprising they’ve build their own Gurdwara’s. Everyone talks about unity within Sikhism but how is this ever going to happen when one community feels they made the major sacrifices, it needs to be dropped not defended with statistics as it is here. Why are you outraged that I referred to Bhai Satwant Singh & Beant Singh as low caste? One minute you say there is no castes in Sikhism then go on to say the Satwant Singh was a Kamboj, does this somehow move him up a class or two? The historical context during harvest season has nothing to do with modern Punjabi music. Today, Jatts are successfully pushing their own agenda using music by constantly celebrating their drinking capacity, fast cars, wealth etc, it’s the only community that feels the need to do this.. Why?? Over an hour I counted 7 out of 10 songs played on Brit Asia included the word Jatt, this never happed 10 or 15 years ago so don’t tell me it’s getting better.
    1 point
  27. I also saw this and was quite disturbed. The chap in question was from Khalsa Aid. His word went along the lines of Jatts gave 95% of Kubanis and now people dislike/question them, Is this a suitable view for a senior charity worker to have? Secondly where does he get his figures from (can he back them up), is he really saying all the other castes put together only contributed 5% to Sikhi? Khalsa Aid are meant to be spreading Sikhi, how can this possibly help? The discussion was about why so many in Punjab had converted to Christianity, is he surprised when he himself holds these views, these are the very reason why they convert. Sikhism has nothing to offer them and being told they contributed virtually nothing to Sikhism doesn't help. It’s sad that a organisation that does such good word should be associated with comments like these. Khalistan is a contentious issue which I don’t want to go into now. The fact that Jatts predominantly led and supported Khalistan should tell you something, is it possible they had the most to gain? Ultimately it was two non Jatt, low castes bodyguards of Indera Gandhi who got the greatest prize for the Khalistan movement, surly that alone should qualify for a 5% contribution if Khalistan is the measure I don’t believe any other sikh community seriously considers themselves above Jatts, you may get the odd deluded person but this superiority complex is a Jatt thing and you argue all you want about ethnic tribes etc. With the media being mainly jatt controlled and nearly every Punjabi song with the word Jatt in it the situation is getting worse, not saying all Jatts but a good majority, certainly way more than other castes, tribes etc.

  28. Delpiero Jee, This video is relly an eye opener. Let's see the analogy to 7-8 Gurudwaras in Southall. I did a bit of research there and people told me Afghanis built their own Gurudwara because main Singh Sabha Gurudwara didn't used to allow Afghani Sikhs to do Sukhmani Sahib Path Ashtpadi as the main lead as they used to say "Your prounciation is not good". Same issue on other sort of SEWA. Same comments I heard from Ramghariya's and Ravidassiyas who made their own Gurudwaras. Now - the same thing started on Channels. Sikh Channel being controlled by Jatt community probably had a plan to control all UK and Europe Gurudwaras by setting up a National Sikh Council but I think that plan didn't succed as other Gurudwaras set up by other communities didn't accepted their supermacy, egoistic, arrogant approach and hence another 2 Media channels on SKY. 29. wjkk wjkf Take responsibility for your actions and then take responsibility in changing your habitual nature. The Mind is what it is....there must come a time when one has to put his/her foot down and say enough and ask oneself what exactly is it that I am seeking. The truth is the Mind does not know what it is seeking but it is seeking something. So it tries to find it in Sex. If it had found it then once was enough and the desire would've been fulfilled. But the desire wasn't and never could be fulfilled so there is a pull to do it again and again. Obviously it will never be fulfilling. So ask yourself, ask your mind what exactly are you seeking? The mere fact that you are still repenting shows that his Grace is still falling upon you. What you are feeling is necessary for you to realize your mistake and believe me when I say this that you are not the only one that has gone through this state. Perhaps not in the same context as you, but almost everyone have used their praying for forgiveness coupons more times then they should have. If you pray for strength, then without a doubt this strength will arrive. If there is a next time, before you make any decision you will always be presented a choice to either go ahead and fulfil the desire of the mind or to turn away and remember the repercussions of these actions. The momentary pleasures in life are abundant, the mind chases after them as if the next pleasure will fulfil its need forever and that is the only thing it needs. But time and time again the mind falls back to where it started from, so it tries and falls and it tries again. The mind is still seeking Bliss, but looking and finding it in all the wrong places. You must understand your own sexuality, understand the purpose of Sex, the root cause of this Desire to be fulfilled. Delve into your own mind, dissect your own mind questions and demand an answer. Be introspective towards you own mind and NEVER give up on Prayer. Pheena wjkk wjkf

  32. Dal Singh Veer Ji, First of all I've yet to meet a Jatt that has a problem with other Sikhs asserting any cultural or ethnic identity, it's always the other way round, and so your point is completely invalid. Tharkhans or Bhatras are more than welcome to have their own identity and welcome to express it so long as it doesn't violate the fundamental rights of other Sikhs as per the SGGS, this applies to Jatts too I might add. What's there to accept about the ethnic group statement, it's a FACT, nothing to do with the British, yes they exploited caste/ethnic/social divisions on the sub-continent, but the FACT still stands that Jatts are not a caste, I challenge you to disprove me otherwise. My field of expertise is Anthropology, and in my time I have studied the composition of the Indian sub-continent, so please can you let me know what these "holes" are so that I can enlighten you. Jatts have never complained about anybody else expressing their identity, it's laughable to even suggest this! It's always the other way around, with peoples own inferiority complex. Please don't take any offence to my post, I don't have any hatred or supremacist agenda, I'm just interested in the facts and the truth. I openly admit there are Jatts who view themselves to be of a higher disposition in comparison with others because of their superior economic standing in society, but this is not limited to other non-Jatts, this attitude also extends to poor Jatts too, I have seen this myself many times. I don't think the actions of one or two speakers on Sikh Channel should discredit the channel, they have done a great service, they openly discuss controversial Panthic issues, and might I add I have seen adverts for Ravidassia functions/programs, so I think this is being blown out of proportion perhaps?

  33. These Jatts are just as ignorant as others when it comes to their heritage and background - it's easily done living in a rural homogeneous society for centuries. We are hardly known for our scholars or academics and as such failed miserably to accurately record our long history, pre-dating Sikhi, but research objectively without ignorance and you will find all the necessary evidence to prove my point. I've yet to meet anybody that can intellectually disprove what I am saying. With regards to your video, why are you preaching to the converted, if you weren't so ignorant you would know I stated the following in my very first post in this thread: Ego is not something exclusively limited to Jatts as everyone is so keen to propagate, one of most poignant examples I can recall is a Punjabi Chamar family that looked at "Churas" with contempt and as inferior, says it all really. Dalits in Punjab are socially and economically vastly better off than their counterparts in other parts of India, this needs to be acknowledged, and this is simply down to the fact that there is no organised caste system in Sikhism, despite what anybody wants to think.

  34. I'm willing to bet that Bhai Sahib from Khalsa Aid has done more charitable acts in one lifetime then the people criticising him will do in several, sad really. You want figures demonstrating the kurbani of Jatts, I'll give you something, refer to below link that looks at over 800 registered cases of fake encounters and police murders during the 80's, of the 800 cases, nearly 600 cases belong to Jatt Sikh Shaheeds, my maths makes that over 70%: Jatt Kurbani This is only one, there are plenty more, I suggest you spend some time in the rural belts of Punjab to understand the disposition of Jatts and their contribution to Sikh struggles. How dare you refer to Shaheed Bhai Satwant Singh & Beant Singh as low caste! Firstly like I've previously mentioned there is no organised caste system in Sikhism. Let me also set the record straight, I know Bhai Satwant Singh's family very well and I regularly attend Bhai Sahib's barsi, perhaps you should pay a visit next time in Punjab and use the words "low caste", Bhai Sahib belonged to the brave and well respected Kamboj tribe, you should get your facts straight before spouting your lies. As for Punjabi songs, West London Singh explained this well previously and their historical context during harvest season.

  36. blah blah.. the million-th caste paranoia topic Yes we all know there is an in-hereditary caste problem within Punjab and Panjabis why? because we are surrounded by the biggest caste driven race in the world, inter-twined in every aspect of life and politics Is Panjab ever going to break out of that? simple Answer No under current climate - Yes under Khalsa Rule. What we can do in the west is forget about the elders mentality - Practise equality amongst the youth, and pass that on to our kids. As-well as abandoning all other Hindu ritualism. Ever wondered why when the New Nanakshai Calendar was published, All Gurpurbs and Historic dates were amended - But Diwali remained the same?? At the highest level they are trying to mould Sikhs and hindus together. I hope I don't sound blasphemic when I say this - But do we really need to celebrate Bandhi Chor Diwas in the same intensity?? Gurdwara's do fireworks? In the bigger scheme of things - how big was this event in our History compared to other events? i.e. 10 Gurpurbs Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj Guru Gaddi Vaisakhi Sahib Shiri Guru Arjan Dev ji Shaheedi battle of Muktsar and on... and on... countless dates What's the point of doing fireworks and celebrating? The Panth is still gulaam, thousands butchered in Delhi during diwali- their families still await justice. All that is happening is India is using every tactic to divide Sikhs and mould them to Hindus.. but in the end the day will come again when they attempt to butcher us - and then they will not ask if your jatt, tharkhan, saini what ever.. they will simply acknowledge you as a Sikh and pour petrol over your dastaar

  38. I Would Not Exactly Join The EDL. But I Think It Is Fair To Post Their Side Of The Story. From http://englishdefenceleague.org/content.php?136 EDL MISSION STATEMENT Attachment 72 EDL MISSION STATEMENT “The world is a dangerous place to live in; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.” - Albert Einstein, refugee from Nazi Germany People have been asking what the EDL is all about, what does it want to achieve, how will it achieve those things? Well now the English Defence League has a Mission Statement...... (1) HUMAN RIGHTS: Protecting And Promoting Human Rights The English Defence League (EDL) is a human rights organisation that was founded in the wake of the shocking actions of a small group of Muslim extremists who, at a homecoming parade in Luton, openly mocked the sacrifices of our service personnel without any fear of censure. Although these actions were certainly those of a minority, we believe that they reflect other forms of religiously-inspired intolerance and barbarity that are thriving amongst certain sections of the Muslim population in Britain: including, but not limited to, the denigration and oppression of women, the molestation of young children, the committing of so-called honour killings, homophobia, anti-Semitism, and continued support for those responsible for terrorist atrocities. Whilst we must always protect against the unjust assumption that all Muslims are complicit in or somehow responsible for these crimes, we must not be afraid to speak freely about these issues. This is why the EDL will continue to work to protect the inalienable rights of all people to protest against radical Islam’s encroachment into the lives of non-Muslims. We also recognise that Muslims themselves are frequently the main victims of some Islamic traditions and practices. The Government should protect the individual human rights of members of British Muslims. It should ensure that they can openly criticise Islamic orthodoxy, challenge Islamic leaders without fear of retribution, receive full equality before the law (including equal rights for Muslim women), and leave Islam if they see fit, without fear of censure. British Muslims should be able to safely demand reform of their religion, in order to make it more relevant to the needs of the modern world and more respectful of other groups in society. It is important that they completely reject the views of those who believe that Islam should be taken in its ‘original’, 7th century form, because these interpretations are the antithesis of Western democracy. The onus should be on British Muslims to overcome the problems that blight their religion and achieve nothing short of an Islamic reformation. In line with this, we should do all that we can to empower those who are willing to take this path. We must also ensure that they do not fear reprisals from those who, in line with these 7th century interpretations, would force sharia law upon them. The EDL calls upon the Government to repeal legislation that prevents effective freedom of speech, for freedom of speech is essential if the human rights abuses that sometimes manifest themselves around Islam are to be stopped. We believe that the proponents of radical Islam have a stranglehold on British Muslims. These radicals dominate Muslim organisations, remain key figures in British mosques, and are steadily increasing their influence. Radical Islam keeps British Muslims fearful and isolated, especially the women that it encases in the Burqa. It misrepresents their views, stifles freedom of expression, and indoctrinates their children, whilst continually doing a discredit to those who do wish to peacefully co-exist with their fellow Britons. (2) DEMOCRACY AND THE RULE OF LAW: Promoting Democracy And The Rule Of Law By Opposing Sharia The European Court of Human Rights has declared that “sharia is incompatible with the fundamental principles of democracy”. Despite this, there are still those who are more than willing to accommodate sharia norms, and who believe that sharia can operate in partnership with our existing traditions and customs. In reality, sharia cannot operate fully as anything other than a complete alternative to our existing legal, political, and social systems. It is a revolution that this country does not want, and one that it must resist. Sharia is most definitely a threat to our democracy. The operation of Islamic courts, the often unreasonable demand that Islam is given more respect than it is due, and the stealthy incursion of halal meat into the food industry, all demonstrate that sharia is already creeping into our lives. Resentment is already beginning to grow, and could create dangerous divisions if nothing is done. The primacy of British courts must be maintained and defended, fair criticism of religious and political ideologies must be permitted, and consumers must be provided with the information necessary to avoid halal produce should they wish. Restaurants and fast food chains that do offer halal options should offer non-halal alternatives as well, in order to show respect for other people’s religions, customs, and possible concerns about animal welfare issues (surrounding ritual slaughter). No one should be made to consume halal produce unwittingly, so it must always be labeled - in supermarkets, in restaurants, in schools, and in hospitals - wherever it is available. Free choice in these matters is, after all, a fundamental human right for everybody, not just the Muslim community. Sharia law makes a fundamental distinction between Muslims and non-Muslims, and the EDL will never allow this sort of iniquitous apartheid to take root in our country. The EDL will therefore oppose sharia appeasement in all its forms, and will actively work to eradicate the sharia-compliant behaviours that are already being adopted, and enforced, in our society. (3) PUBLIC EDUCATION: Ensuring That The Public Get A Balanced Picture Of Islam A central part of the EDL’s mission is public education. The British political and media establishment have, for a long time, been presenting a very sanitised and therefore inaccurate view of Islam, shaped by the needs of policy-makers rather than the needs of the public. This has acted as a barrier to informed policy-making and made finding the solution to real problems impossible. In pursuing this self-defeating and destructive policy, the Government has effectively been acting as the propaganda arm of the Muslim Brotherhood. Whether or not is aware of the predicament that it has put itself in, it has so far failed to honestly admit its failures. We are committed to a campaign of public education to ensure that all aspects of Islam that impact on our society can debated in an open and honest way. Demonisation of Muslims, or of Islam’s critics, adds nothing to the debate. We believe that only by looking at all the facts can society be most effectively and humanly governed. If there are aspects of Muslim tradition that encourage the activities of Islamic radicals and criminals then these need to be properly addressed without fear of accusations of racism, xenophobia, or the even the disingenuous term ‘Islamophobia’. The public must be provided with a more realistic and less sanitised view of Islam that allows it to ensure that decision-makers are held to account for their policy-making choices, choices that affect the harmony and security of the nation. The EDL promotes the understanding of Islam and the implications for non-Muslims forced to live alongside it. Islam is not just a religious system, but a political and social ideology that seeks to dominate all non-believers and impose a harsh legal system that rejects democratic accountability and human rights. It runs counter to all that we hold dear within our British liberal democracy, and it must be prepared to change, to conform to secular, liberal ideals and laws, and to contribute to social harmony, rather than causing divisions. (4) RESPECTING TRADITION: Promoting The Traditions And Culture Of England While At The Same Time Being Open To Embrace The Best That Other Cultures Can Offer The EDL believes that English Culture has the right to exist and prosper in England. We recognise that culture is not static, that over time changes take place naturally, and that other cultures make contributions that make our shared culture stronger and more vibrant. However, this does not give license to policy-makers to deliberately undermine our culture and impose non-English cultures on the English people in their own land. If people migrate to this country then they should be expected to respect our culture, its laws, and its traditions, and not expect their own cultures to be promoted by agencies of the state. The best of their cultures will be absorbed naturally and we will all be united by the enhanced culture that results. The onus should always be on foreign cultures to adapt and integrate. If said cultures promote anti-democratic ideas and refuse to accept the authority of our nation’s laws, then the host nation should not be bowing to these ideas in the name of ‘cultural sensitivity’. Law enforcement personnel must be able to enforce the rule of law thoroughly without prejudice or fear. Everyone, after all, is supposed to be equal in the eyes of the law. The EDL is therefore keen to draw its support from people of all races, all faiths, all political persuasions, and all lifestyle choices. Under its umbrella, all people in England, whatever their background, or origin, can stand united in a desire to stop the imposition of the rules of Islam on non-believers. In order to ensure the continuity of our culture and its institutions, the EDL stands opposed to the creeping Islamisation of our country, because intimately related to the spread of Islamic religion is the political desire to implement an undemocratic alternative to our cherished way of life: the sharia. Our armed forces stand up and risk their lives every day in order to protect our culture and democratic way of life. They are also reflective of England’s diversity, and are a shining example of what a people can achieve when united together. The EDL is therefore committed to opposing any and all abuse that our men and women in uniform are subjected to, and will campaign for legal remedies to ensure that those working within these important institutions are not exposed to abuse or aggression from within our country. (5) INTERNATIONAL OUTLOOK: Working In Solidarity With Others Around The World The EDL is keen to join with others who share our values, wherever they are in the world, and from whatever cultural background they derive. We believe that the demand for sharia is global and therefore needs to be tackled at a global as well as national level, so that this demand will never be succumbed to. The EDL will therefore have an international outlook to enhance and strengthen our domestic efforts, whilst at the same time contributing to the global struggle against Islamic intolerance of Western cultures, customs, religions, politics, and laws. The time for tolerating intolerance has come to an end: it is time for the whole world to unite against a truly Global Jihad. 39. Neutral? What do you base that on? That's not what your elected community representatives are saying, of student groups and its certainly not what the Gurdwareh are saying either. The Sikh community in the UK is AGAINST the English Defence League and the evidence is right there! There is absolutely no way to justify support for the English Defence League if you want to proclaim yourself as an adherent of the Sikh faith. As for the TurbanCampaign, if you had read the website you would see that it is not an organisation in itself. Many of you need to quit being scared of the Muslims. They done what any community would do in their situation which is to self organise and come together to defend their community from the EDL. Supporting the EDL will achieve nothing except make you look like a fool and bring shame to our community. In fact, the primary reason for having to step up the anti-edl initiative was due to the 'badnaami' being caused by this pro-edl & bnp madness. If you're scared of 'Islamification' then perhaps you should do more and INVEST in your own community. Be sure to compete on every level, in business, in politics and in providing the youth with more opportunities. Standing shoulder to shoulder with the EDL is not right.
