  1. Bit off-topic but i think you really need to study that period as you are totally wrong that British forces were stronger than Khalsa Sarkar Army. Heard about Dogra brothers and how they sold out sikh plans to British in exchange of Kashmir. Do you know about traitors Lal SIngh and Teja Singh (so called generals of Sikh Army) deserted their post and tried to loot treasuary of Mahraja Ranjit Singh. Did you hear that ex-napolean army leaders worked under Ranjit SIngh and gave training to khalsa sarkar army. Do you know the name General Allard who was with Ranjit till his death. There were several non-sikh army mercenry, leaders, trainers who equiped khalsa army and soldiers belief in Sikhi is the reason why we were the best force in world history. Sadly, it was british who backstabbed sikhs by doing backend deals with traitors "Dogra Brothers". Also pay of Ranjit SIngh army soldiers were twice than what british soldiers were earning under queen victoria rule. Point me any successfull King in history who never killed nor gave any capital punishment in his kingdom. If i want to make mockery of other kingdom then i don't have to far and point several past wife-hanging crazy kings of UK. At the same time, if i want to then i can go on praising punjabis then i can go on and talk about the more advanced civilization of the world [harappa and mohenjdaro]. America being the super power of the world in terms of techonology and arm power.. With all of that, they still couldn't control Afghanistan.. Its been like what? 10 years + ? DId you know how long it took Hari SIngh Nalwa under the guidance of Raja Ranjit SIngh defeated and sealed the invaders passage up in Afghanistan? Even after hundreds of years, there's still legend talks about sikh bravery in Afghanistan and not long time ago, old afghan bibian use to say.. "Stop playing around and Sleep now child.. otherwise hari nalwa will come..." If you want to learn about history then you have to read books written by both side of world. Reading one side of the history written by british authors on Anglo-sikh history is of course going to have your views largely biased against sikhs and the residents of Punjab.

  3. Here is a question that arose in my mind the other day. In your life say you come at a crossroads, the road to your left gets you one job and the road to the right gets you another job. Now say AkaalPurkh have already mapped out your route to the right hand road, the people that you will meet in your new job all have a link with you through mutual Karam, and through the job you will meet other people which is all tied in with your karam. The karam will effect hundreds of lives and you have to work through the karam with these people, all part of the karm mapped out by AkaalPurkh. Now here is the thing, if you do ardaas with all your heart and really really want the job that is on the right hand path and you get that job, you will think that AkaalPurkh has listened to your ardaas and you got your job, but, you were destined to get that job anyways, so did the ardaas have any effect, as you were going down that route anyway as your karam with all those people was already mapped out . If on the other hand you do adraas with all your heart for the job on the left hand path and you do not get the job, because you were never destined to get it because all your karm and links with all those people are with the job on the right hand path, then you will say what most people say “Oh well, tayra bhana meetha lagay” this is God’s will. Now AkaalPurkh can of course change your path from right to left if He so desires but then all the karm you were to work through on the right hand path will remain unworked but you will encounter people on the left hand path that you were never intended to meet and all that would affect hundreds of lives not only on the right hand path but now also on the left hand path. So the question arises does adraas have any effect, because you will never know. If it goes your way maybe it was going to go that way anyway and if it does not then you just shrug your shoulders and move on but it was never going to go that way anyway.

  4. Vaheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguroo Ji Ki Fateh Keeping in line with the rules of the forum. We are re-posting this message and keeping personal identities as gupt as possible but at the same time trying to reach to sangat who may have been effected or involved with a certain amritdhari couple who are based in the midlands around the Sandwell and Dudley area involved in anti-gurmat practises. An investigation is being launched and we aim to provide a gupt service for individuals affected. Were you told by the bibi that she was Mata Bhag Kaur re-incarnated? Were you told that your soul was a famous gursikh from sikh history (Baba Deep Singh, Bhai Kanaiya Ji) in a past life? Your soul has come from a jatha/misl from either Guru Gobind Singh or Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s time? Did the bibi say anything about her dasam duar being open and how she can read thoughts, minds, see into the future, past and present? How people in your family are trying harming you/ are jealous of you? Someone you know is doing black magic? There are spirits in your house? If any of the above applies to you then please get in touch via the following email address. guptsevasach@gmail.com Vaheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguroo Ji Ki Fateh P.S. Moderators, if this topic becomes a playground for personal attacks, name/shame etc, please delete all irrelevant replies and lock thread and make sticky if possible.

  5. I don't want to sound extremely negative Just want somewere were I can talk about what worries me about were the sikh ppl are going In the west it doesn't feel good when you see someone born and raised in the west but don't know anything about are beautiful history, or what a sikh stands for, or understand the 5ks, or undertand are beautiful history It hurts seeing girls and guys who suffer from low self esteem and feel like they have no were to go and get themselves into stupid things. Girls who get into relationships with guys whose only intentions are to use them and sleep with them and guys who isolate themselves or turn to drugs Sikhi has some extremely powerfull. Teachings tools to apply for life and inspirational message yet this isn't getting in front of many people Are gurdwaras filled with politics that isolates a huge chunk of the community What can I and others do to get the beautiful teachings of sikhism in front of people and are great history in front of people

  6. Panthic Jathabandis, Sant Samaj, Simranjit Singh Maan should all unite. They should atleast unite to take back the SGPC from Badal, that is what our immediate focus should be not Punjab elections. But in this unity Dal Khalsa and other Kala Afghani agencies should not be included. Sant Samaj made the biggest mistake by supporting Badal instead of like minded Gursikhs who want betterment of the Panth. This has only given fuel to anti Sant outfits like the missionaries who further say all sorts of bad things about Sants. Instead of focusing on politics, in all honesty all Panthic groups should only focus on doing parchar right now. We are in a demographic decline. 95% of our youth is Patit. What use is getting into politics if we do not have Saabat soorat Khalsa remaining in Punjab? Just imagine the potential of Parchar right now. If Radhasoamis, Sacha Sauda can do parchar to millions why can't we? Punjab Haryana and Himachal should be full of Sikhs if only Sikhs do parchar instead of fighting about politics. Screw politics. We need parchar. Because only with demographic power can we have political power. Does it make sense having dreams of ruling the world yet not even being 2% of the population of India?

  9. It is nice to see a lady whose self-esteem isn't wrapped up in their beauty (according to Western standards). I don't know why the media is so obsessed in women being completely hairless! In some societies, things like unibrows are considered the epitome of feminine beauty and highly desirable. In Tajikstan they even draw on unibrows! Complete opposite of the West, right? Even men have issues when they do not cut their hair. My fiance doesn't cut his hair so his hair is at with waist and sometimes people in the masjid think he is weird for it. He doesn't care though.

  11. t’s become a fascinating trend that I’ve seen over and over, after training and coaching thousands of entrepreneurs, business owners and investors. But this doesn’t just apply to those who have businesses – it actually holds true for the entire population, regardless of occupation or whether they’re self-employed or not. Those who take responsibility for their outcomes do exponentially better. They make a LOT more money, they have less anxiety and frustration, and they create massive momentum. They enjoy their business a lot more, and seem to have less problems in their relationships with customers, employees, contractors and other key people. But here’s the challenge .. .. most people are unwilling to be accountable for their results. One of the core issues in today’s world is that the vast majority of people avoid taking responsibility for their own outcomes. The attitude of entitlement is alive and well, and unfortunately keeps most people wallowing in failure and a lack of results. I’ve noticed the “entitlement mentality” becoming even more obvious around the world. It’s a sickness – a disease that threatens the future of abundance and productivity. Look at the rioting in areas of Europe – at the core, it’s an entitlement mentality that says “I don’t want to pay more taxes – I want to keep getting services, and maintain a low productivity, and I’m not willing to play a role in the solution”. Of course, the government’s had a role to play in where things are, but the ONLY solution is to increase taxes and cut services. And people react as though it’s some kind of right they have to get something for nothing. Frankly, it’s sickening to me, and why I’m so grateful that I am the captain of my own ship, and do not rely on anyone to feed or employ me. Unions are another problematic disease in the business world. Years ago, the union was necessary to protect the worker from being exploited and taken advantage of, yet in today’s world, the role of the union is archaic. The very base of union thinking is entitlement mentality. I should be paid more simply because I’ve been here longer than you. Who cares about productivity, contribution or anything else – I put in more time, and I deserve more money because of it. Unions are creating a terrible drag on the economy, and it’s no surprise that many of the industries dominated by unions are also bankrupt - airlines and car manufacturers being just a couple of them. I know some people will disagree with me, but the edges of our social fabric are being frayed right now by this poisonous thinking. It’s Easier To Be a Victim Than Be Accountable Accountability is the simple act of being responsible for whatever happens to you — good or bad. The challenge is that most people would rather choose NOT to accountable, and instead place blame, justify and rationalize why they’re not getting what they want in life. Quite frankly, it’s easier to wander through life and not take responsibility for what happens to you. It’s the economy. It’s my spouse. It’s the weather. It’s the politicians. This is the position most people take, including many entrepreneurs. In today’s world, it’s pretty easy to blame the “bad economy” for a lot of the problems business owners are facing. And yes, the economy is certainly a variable that has an affect. But the moment you start allowing “the economy” to be the reason for your business not growing or struggling, you’re on the path to failure. And the reason is that once you accept that the cause is external to you, control of your destiny is now out of your hands. And that’s another way of saying victim. Because you’re accountable, or a victim. You can’t be both. I’ve never met a successful entrepreneur who’s a victim. They claim responsibility for what happens to them at every level. In today’s economy, I have the fortune of coaching several entrepreneurs and business owners who are growing like crazy. Thriving, in a “bad economy”. Our own business just came out of one of the best months we’ve had in years, and we continue to grow very quickly. We’ve brought on several more people to the team, while most business owners are struggling. This isn’t because we’re any smarter or better — it’s because we are willing to take responsibility for our outcomes. That forces us to make different decisions. It allows us to impact what happens in our business. Like most entrepreneurs, we’ve had to adjust our business model, and change what we are doing. It’s not easy. It’s a hassle. It’s a pain in the <banned word filter activated>, and takes work. And it’s working. Really well. What’s the alternative? Blaming the economy? Let me know how that works out for you. How To Become Accountable For Your Outcomes If you’re sold on the idea that you MUST take responsibility for the results you get, the next question should be, “what’s the best way to do this?” In my experience, most people struggle to hold themselves accountable. They want to be accountable, but it’s very difficult to be your own guardian. The other major problem is that most people don’t get clear on what results they’re actually trying to achieve to begin with — and therefore never really know if they’ve achieved the results they’re after. So here are the 2 critical elements you need to ensure you remain accountable: Set Clear Goals And a Vision of Exactly What You Intend To Achieve Have An External System To Hold You Accountable To Those Outcomes It’s simply a matter of being VERY clear what you intend to create, and then don’t just try to hold yourself accountable. Find a good system that gives you the outside accountability you need. That can include a mastermind group that you have to report to, or could even be as simple as an “accountability partner” that you commit to, and follow up with. There are also great programs that will hold you accountable to the goals you set, like the 100 Day Challenge. There are a bunch of goal setting and accountability tools there, along with a cool program that helps you remain on track for 100 days of accountability. Whatever the case, you MUST have external help to remain accountable. Make this one commitment – that you are going to be 100% accountable for your outcomes – and watch your business, and your life, transform. Please let me know what you think below, as I’d love to hear your comments!
