  1. IT IS TIME TO MAKE A CONCERTED EFFORT TO ACHIEVE A FREE PUNJAB! THIS REQUIRES ACTIVISM IN THE INTERNATIONAL MEDIA AND POLITICAL FORUM. HOWEVER, THAT WILL NOT BE SUFFICIENT TO ACHIEVE JUSTICE OR FREEDOM. WE NEED TO HURT INDIA ECONOMICALLY BY BOYCOTTING AS MANY HINDU PRODUCTS STARTING WITH THE BOLLYWOOD CRAP THAT SO MANY OF YOU "SOLDOUT PUNJABIS" ADORE SO MUCH! WE CAN ALSO PUT PRESSURES ON HINDUS LIVING AMONGST US OUTSIDE OF INDIA (LET'S MAKE LIFE HELL FOR THEM. WE NEED TO STOCKPILE ARMS AND TEACH GATKA/COMBAT TO OUR YOUNG. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY WE NEED TO GET OUR SIKH BROTHERS TO TURN THEIR BACKS ON INDIAN MILITARY. THIS MUST BE FOLLOWED BY REACHING OUT TO ALL ENEMIES OF INDIA INCLUDING MAOISTS, PAKISTANIS ETC (MY ENEMY'S ENEMY IS MY FRIEND). INQUALAAB IN PUNJAB.....LONG LIVE THE RESISTANCE.....RAAJ KAREGA KHALSA!

  2. Will anybody listen? What really annoys me about some Sikhs (certainly those in the UK as I can't speak for any of our Canadian and American brothers and sisters) is when these same people underestimate Sikhi and throw it into the pile of 'organised religion' with the rest of them. But then I look at the people who purport to represent the faith and I think to myself "Well no wonder people are being dissuaded from our religion if you're meant to be the best we've got". The more I look into our faith and begin to learn of it's doctrines on a deeper level, the more I'm beginning to realise that the 'modern' interpretation of Sikhi is very much about the things that the likes of Bluck, Russell and Toynbee were waxing lyrical Sikhi wasn't about! I'll be frank (possibly more than I should be there you go) but I personally I find the numerous school of thoughts, the sampradhiyas, the jathebandiya to be completely overwhelming. Nevermind about wondering whether Sikhi is the right way (it is, if Guru Granth Sahib Ji is your only guide - this much I do know) but which sub-group within Sikhi espouses the true way as prescribed by our Gurus? Which form of Sikhi was their ideal vision and the one I should be following today? A person worries whether they'll be punished for following a certain branch of Sikhi by overlooking another branch of the faith. I know, this may sound quite childish but just reading the myriad of topics on doctrine (on this site) does that to a person who is attempting to breach the surface (in terms of wishing to progress in their learning about the faith) and therefore whose mind is still in the process of absorbing and learning. Anyway, I am glad Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Dasme Paatshah's Gurbani is the resolute, irremovable truth and no matter how my mind flounders and thrashes, I can always find solace in the 'charan' of our Guru. I know for a fact these these thoughts and concerns are shared by many other Sikhs finding their way, but unfortunately they see the roadblocks in their path and turn away. I do not have the luxury of turning away as I have nothing to turn to. Hence my desire to get to the heart of the situation. But yes, there is something supremely special about 2012 so far in terms of spirituality. I wish all of my Sikh brothers and sisters of varying levels of adherence (or even none at all) find something of value in our faith, and I hope they discover that Sikhi is more than just a religion to follow blindly and dogmatically, but it is a system which is of vital importance to our daily survival as something as elementary as breathing is.

  4. The pace is quickening and it's more important now (as it always has been) to start building our Sikhi jeevans. People are beginning to question their existence in the world and Sikhs should help guide humanity.

  5. Khalsa Ji Halal also means Hak Halal I.e. honest earnings , not deceitful earnings. Any vegetarian product that says Halal means "produced through honest business" it does not mean Halal as in Halal meat. With regards to your second question ask your Aatma , what does your Aatma say when you ask yourself this question?

  8. First of all she is not a topper, she stood second best in the toppers list of IAS exam. Secondly Panjabi means one who belongs to the state of Panjab irrespective of Hindu, Muslim, Sikkh, Christian. Thirdly what do you want to prove by posting this article. From the early 1950s right up to 1990s the non-sikhs never wanted to get associated in any way with the Sikkhs or even calling themselves as Panjabis. But later on in the 1990s when the Sikkhs regained their name, fame & charrth/glory (successes/lofty heights); every tom, <banned word filter activated> & harry started calling themselves as Panjabi (not Sikkhs), our culture is also Panjabiat (the badals played this card). This is because Sikkhs were/are recognized as Panjabi people belonging to the state of Panjab and the non-Sikhs hitchhiked on to our wagon. The bollywood also exploited our glory by making movies on Panjabi theme, although not showing the perfect/true picture of Sikkhs as they are produced/directed by the same non-sikkh people who call themselves as panjabis/ Moderators/Administrators: Newspaper like Rojana Spokesman can be banned by you, why not Jagbani, Panjab Kesri, Hind Samachar, etc ?

  9. @SINGH559 <banned word filter activated>?! That is the kind of passive, gutless view that has brought our people to this juncture! If you have no strategy, no constructive advice then l request that you kindly refrain from commenting in regards to militancy and resistance! KHALSA AWAKE FROM YOUR SLUMBER AND RISE UP AS ONE AGAINST OUR ENEMIES!! INQUALAAB IN PUNJAB.......KHALISTAN ZINDABAAD......RAAJ KAREGA KHALSA!

  10. You were just a flower (not long ago) and now you are a full fledged garden embellished with scores and scores of flowers. You should (enjoy) taking a walk inside this garden and soar like a chaste and innocent bird within it. Zindaginâmâ

  14. It's sad to see niddar is a snatan hindu mat individual. It would have been nice if he had true intentions which many moderate and educated Sikhs he clearly does NOT. When I say this I don't mean it in a way to defame or do nindiya, i'm saying this because I believe this to be the truth and hope people who support his ideology can see this as well. As for cold steel, it's like a business opportunity for them more than anything I think. They did the same thing for the gurkha khukhris and made a 150 dollar khukhri that is made for 5-10 dollars. Niddar may have a lot of knowledge on shastar vidiya but I don't think it makes up for the harm he is causing by spreading a few but very powerful lies about Sikhi and Sikh beliefs.

  16. To be careless, negligent, sluggish and apathetic of the memory of God, even for a moment, is equivalent to hundreds of deaths. For those enlightened and knowledgeable ones, the meditation and remembrance of God is indeed the real life. Zindaginâmâ

  17. Try to brush your mustache to the side, using your fingers (or a brush if it is nearby) anytime you feel it getting in the way if your lips. If you do this often enough, your mustache will start to naturally stay sticking out to the side and clear of your lips/mouth. It's become a habit for me to instinctively do this quite often It might take a while for this to have any affect Alternatively, fixer would help

  18. many people who write in this forum are amritdhari. and many are also non-amritdhari. its amazing being an amritdhari. feelings of those who are amritdhari, say that the feeling of being amritdhari cannot be described. and we must take our destiny as sikhs, and become amritdhari.

  20. Focus on your education, play sports and study Gurbani. If you still have time then learn keertan or Gatka. Get a professional degree and a professional job, and then get married to a Singh appropriate for you. Its upto you whether you want your parents to find you one. Forget about this relationship garbage. You are just 17, a dangerous age, so best to focus on studies for now and get good grades. Having a boyfriend is something non-Amritdharis do, you said you are Amritdhari, so you can't get into this stuff. I know initially it all may seem pure, but at your age it doesn't take too long to turn impure. padhaayi ch dhiyaan de putt...agge jaake mundeyaan di koi ghaat ni rehni fer...saari umer kari jaayi chatting ohne sammne bithhaake
