  1. Why don't people bother to just read the guidelines? You're provided those things the moment you become members. It clearly says not to badmouth any religion. That part is absolutely a false allegation on us. We have always criticized/condemned anyone who has proven to be a foe of the Panth. Lets not forget, facts need to be backed up with reliable and authentic sources. Tomorrow if you post a news article from Times of India which calls Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale a terrorist, we assure you it will most definitely be trashed. I understand you are desperate to paste-post your stuff (which you have anyways, more than once) which is seen by some as anti-Islamic. But it only makes you look like a fool if you keep doing it in every thread again and again. You had your chances, the discussion was concluded, forget it and move on man. Don't keep pasting the same stuff in every reply. Come up with something new but in the relevant thread. How would you feel if you were discussing rocket science and I started telling you how much I love Tom & Jerry? So please, I am requesting you panther ji, quit using this forum to enhance your anti-Islamic and/or anti-Pakistan campaigns. Sikhs don't consider either one to be an enemy, neither Muslims nor Pakistanis. Its the mindset of some folks which wishes harm upon Sikhs that we need to unite and fight against. Think of how can we kill this disease instead of killing the patient/victim.

  3. shouldnt we be staying away from alcohol, in beer/wine form, because it takes us away from god, makes us do foolish things, and harms our body? this ethanol wont do that, have you ever got high/drunk off ghee? theres not enough in there. ethanol (pure alchol) will kill you if you drink it.

  4. Bhai Gurdas Ji Vaars directly tell us that Sri Chand didn't just go against Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj in the test, but went against Satguru Sri Guru Angad Dev Ji Maharaj as Guru? Bhai Sahib says Sri Chand built a monument where he told Sikhs of Satguru to worship the monument instead of Satguru Sri Guru Agand Dev ji Maharaj. Baba Buddha ji never did this and was always with the Guru. Baba Buddha Ji a Brahmgyani and was the first Granthi at Sri Harmandir Sahib. ONly ignorant people would put Baba Buddha ji in the same category as Sri Chand.

  6. VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH! As a result of continous attacks happening on our Guru, the Khalsa has decided to do the following. (3 attacks have happened in the past week on Gurdwaras in India) At Guru Nanak Gurdwara Sahib Smethwick, Singhs will be organising a pehredaar jatha (security team) which will operate on Akhand Paaths to protect Guru Ji and the sangat as attacks are rising as Kaljug is coming closer to its heights. Any Sikh who wants to do seva on weekends at Guru Nanak Gurdwara Sahib Smethwick to protect Guru Ji should private message or post here. Any Sangat wanting Seva of other West Bromwich, Handsworth, Olbury or other local Gurdwara Sahib can contact here so we can sort out groups and shifts. ALL Gurdwara Sahibs across the world now should start off pehras especially when Akhand Paaths are on as we do not want to see any more beadbi. End OF. Time to defend Khalsa style. Tyaar bar Tyaar. VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH!

  7. That is so so messed up how can you say that !! Baba Sri Chand had immense bhagti and indeed were Brahmgiani, Baba Buddah Ji were also Brahmgiani but both of these did not attain this avasta at the time of the first Guru but afterwards. Baba Sri Chand failed hopelesly in the tests of his father, though Baba Budda did progress he failed the ultimate test of eating the dead body parsang. But to think Sri Chand was something less than Baba Buddah Ji is a immense immense mistake, both mahapurks crossed the age of 100. Baba Sri Chand were the very form of tapasaya. Sri Chand were the highest saint in India of their time.

  10. great post. :D. there are many many many planets out there. what are we to the universe. it would take eons upon eons to get anywhere in the universe. there must be thousands of different types of animals and aliens out there. probably around way before us. maybe these were getting to god, now earth devolped life and life here was given the opportunity to merge with their creator. why must be so filled with ego to think humans couldnt be made from apes, or that we are special things, gods gift to the universe. and that quote does talk about creation as that is where life started and developed, within water, when you are in the womb, condiotions are vey similar to water. water is a symbol of life. where there is water there is life."I see none as great a giver as you. O Great Giver; You give in charity to the beings of all the continents, worlds, solar systems, nether regions and universes".

  11. Also it was not preordained for Baba Buddha Ji to be Guru, but the same can't be said about Sri Chand because his latter actions show that Sri Chand wanted to be the Guru....building a monument in his fathers remembrance, but didn't want people to worship Satguru Sri Guru Agand Dev Ji Maharaj. How can't someone see how big of a difference there is between Baba Buddha Ji and Sri Chand.............again if your knowledge is not up to par here, then please don't comment. Everyone just wastes there time on useless statements then.

  12. Thankuji Jonny101, u understand wat i am saying. For those that cannot read the above, it translates into: Prof Sahib Singh Jee has written Koi bhee biptaa ayundi diseh, parmaatma deh dhar teh hi arjoiyee kiti fabdhee hai... Meaning: whatever problem, tension you see forthcoming, it only is fulfilling to request from Waheguru's (God's) home.

  16. I never attacked bhai Gurdas Ji' vaars I said they are not Gurbani. I did agree upon them being a key though. Gurbani is using metphor i.e. in those tuks you provided the sons represented ego and guru as god. But it never proves the point that the udasi can never reach God. Its like baba Budha Ji not passing the test of guruship, was he egotistical? but he did falter. It was not preordained for him to become a guru just like the guru's sons. lehanae dhee faeraaeeai naanakaa dhohee khatteeai || Nanak proclaimed Lehna's succession - he earned it. Lehan is also a name, an ego, however the ego submitted to god and became God ( naanakaa) jin aakhee soee karae jin keethee thinai thhatteeai || Whatever the Guru said, Lehna did, and so he was installed on the throne. The above tuk can be anyone who ever submits to the will is installed on the throne i.e.sachkand. Gurbani is using historical metophors to portray the truth between ego submitting to God and when it is not.

  18. Consciousness, I'd appreciate it if you dissected my last reply just like you so cleverly did to Only Five. I'm concerned that instead of addressing the issues discussed in this topic, you're jump to attacking Bhai Gurdas Ji's vaaran and questioning their legitimacy. Even heretics accept Bhai Gurdas Ji Dian Vaaran. Guru Granth Sahib Ji concurs with what is said by Bhai Gurdas Ji in his Vaars about Guru Nanak Dev Ji's son(s), so what was the point of bringing up this issue on this thread?

  19. Apes aren't at the top of the reincarnation cycle, those who can meet waheguru are. Humans may have evolved from apes, but apes don't have dharam or the ability to think like we do. There are life forms within the vast expanse of the Universe that Sants say Khalsa Raj has come already. Do you think that these people would be homeosapiens? Theoretically it's possible, but mathematically they're a different species. I'd bet my bottom dollars they're very different biologically, but the same in terms of how they see Waheguru, spirituality and experience kam, krodh, lobh moh and ahankaar. The animals and primitive life forms that can not taste Waheguru and understand what it means to be separated from Waheguru all get a chance at what Guru Ji tells us in Rehras Sahib everyday: "Bhaeee prapath manukh dehoria| Gobind milan ki ehe teri baria, avar kaaj teray kitay na kaam| Mil saadh sangat paj keval naam|" They get a chance to one day get a joon that is basically oru human life. I used to think this meant human life as some kathavaachiks say human life, but it only says that this is your chance to meet Gobind - Waheguru - the creator of the Universe and where you've come from - Your home. This would apply to beings of other species who have the ability to meet Waheguru in another galaxy far, far away. Not a stupid question at all bro, questions like this make everyone think deeply. Check this out, it's in the parkarma of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib: http://en.wikipedia..../Flower_of_Life The flower of life is an attempt of spiritually bright or even enlightened people to conceptualize how Waheguru made such a Universe where from sub atomic particles can form atoms -> elements -> compounds and shortcut all the way up to single celled life --> multicellular --> human beings. I know I am missing a lot, but from little I know, this is what i humbly accept as beign true.

  20. Guru Nanak Dev Ji didnt keep shastar. In Sri Raag Bani, where Guru Ji tells of "Baba, hor khaana khishi khwaar..." Guru Ji tells what shastars he has, and they are not what we would class as shastars. Guru Ji also tells what is his kamarkassa, what is his barsha etc... Go to gurmatveechar and listen to katha of these shabads. They are amazing. Dont rely on sikhito the max to give you a complete picture ofthe meaning, it only gives you a very literal meaning. listen to uthanka of the shabad, and then the katha. Sometimes i feel it is quite dangerous to listen to gurbani katha without knowing the uthanka. The thing is, the janamsakhis do mention it but you dont know where to look for it. read my reply to your post below. Guru Nanak Dev ji gave Baba Buddha the knowledge of 14 arts, by his Pavitar Nazar, ie just by looking at him. Just as Guru Nanak Dev Ji gave Bhai Mardana the art of Raag just by looking at him. When Bhai Mardana brought the rabab from Bhai Firanda, Guru NanakDev Ji asked him toplay, Bhai said, Guru Ji i have never played an instrument in my life, Guru Ji brought his pavitar nazar on Bhai Mardana and gave him Raag Vidiya. In the same way when Satta and Balwand insulted Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Guru Arjan gave sangat his Pavitar Nazar and blessed the sangat with Raag Vidiya. The Sikhs who had never played the rabab, jori, or saranda before, started to play them perfectly, such is the kirpa of the True Guru. Guru Nanak Dev Ji gave Baba Buddha all 14 Vidiyas at once. It is your mistake to think that Guru Ji took a stick or sword and said "watch this pentra". The part to read or listen to in the JananSakhis is where Baba Buddha asks Guru Nanak Dev Ji for updesh. Sant Jarnail Singh has talked about this in one of his kathas as well.

  21. No Panthic unity, You claim one should not ask for anything from God because it is anti Gurmat according to the heretic beliefs of the Kala Afghanis/missionary. Read the Shabad I posted clearly: ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ Tell me, is Guru Jee also anti Gurmat here for asking Vaheguru for protection and was Vaheguru wrong for fulfilling Guru Jee's ardas? See you Kala Afghanis are now stuck in a paradox. On the one hand you claim Vaheguru cannot fulfill a Sikh's ardas because Vaheguru can't fulfill ardas, but on the other hand we have examples from our own Sikh history like the Sulhi Khan Saakhi which you cannot explain because it goes directly against Kala Afghana's communistic philosophy. Usually what you guys do is explain something by saying it did not even happen, but this event is mentioned by Guru Jee in Gurbani! now what will you say? you will have to accept asking Vaheguru during Ardas and Vaheguru fulfilling the ardas is a Gurmat concept, or you will have to discard Gurbani. So which will it be? And you show Dhunda's(fake professor) video here as if he holds some kind of authority? Dundha's a joke! I just showed you Gurbani and Prof Sahib Singh Jee's (a real professor) translation here which is a thousand times more credible than anything Kala Afghanis/missionaries can put out. I'm not a Baba follower myself. I'm a Guru Nanak Dev follower. I have respect for Singh Sabha of Prof Gurmukh Singh, Giani Ditt Singh, Bhai Vir Singh, Prof Sahib Singh. Not these fake heretic Kala Afghana/missionaries who add professor to their name even though they are 10 standard pass.

  23. If somebody has a disease or dying from cancer, one can still do ardas. Why can th rest not be accepted as bhana too? Anybody can do ardas for anything. The rest is up to God, whether they want to do the mehr or not. I think we are in no position to judge what one can or cannot do ardas for, as there will be so many opnions. Who else are we to ask from if not God. God can change anything anytime. But if we are going to do it demanding for it, then it will not happen, God is the giver, we are the mangtey, beggars.

  28. Brother Auzer Jee, I'm not pro India in any way, but how was the stand off a victory for Pakistan? When India's parliament was attacked(which I supported by the way), India deployed thousands of troops on the border not to invade Pakistan but to scare Pakistan. The Pakistani army was leaving everything they could and started to deploy their forces across the border near India. I remember reading interviews of Pakistani soldiers at the time of how they all expected war to begin. It was Musharaf who began to give speeches assuring India that cross border terrorism would stop. After Musharaff's repeated pledges, India finally accepted Pakistan's word and agreed to end the standoff. India lost 789 soldiers, Pakistan till date has not released it's casualty figures. Years later, Pakistanis began to claim victory over this standoff for some unknown reason, actually both sides claimed victory to the stand off. One thing is certain, if there was a war, the only real losers would be the people living near the border in both India and Pakistan. Lets hope for their sake there is never a war between the two. I have family living in Amritsar and would not like to see war.

  31. Real shaster are meant to be used and not practice, they are meant for flesh only, but can take a good practical beating in warfare. Gatka is just a small part of the knowledge of shaster. If for example I have a firangi (a real one), I can't use it like a Khanda, now can I? I can't spin it like I do in gatka, now can I? If I were to find out how to use this you can use common sense and if you have a background in swordsmanship you will understand the angles and how the firangi is supposed to be used (can be used similar to a rapier and long sword - both attributes). As for warfare formations, we can examine historical texts from Sikh and non Sikh sources to examine what kind of battles Sikhs fought in. In a book I read called Siques, Tigers or Thieves it talks about Sikhs used to part take in guerrilla warfare and would do something they would call "two and a half strikes) and then retreat. It was a kind of psychological warfare meant to allow small numbers fight against thousands. Martial ability, horsemanship, fearlessness and mastery of the sword and musket combined with this art of two and a half "vaars" scared the Mughal fauj to bits. As for actual battle formations, there is no specific "list" that Sikhs made for what was best. If the time arose that we needed to go into jungles and fight against the Mughals, we would develop such formations again... Don't confuse advertising a product called shastar vidiya with someone's personal agenda/opinion.

I have many close Muslim friends who are respectful to Sikhi and as i am to Islam. They are critical and have much shame for the actions carried out by their own communitte in the name of Islam !!! Auzer, the reason why grooming is so big in the UK amongst the Pakistani community is due to the lack of effort to deal with it INTERNALLY. It should be made clear anyone found gulity of forced conversion, black mail and grooming will be kicked out of Islam and outcasted from the community !!!!!!!!!!!! BUT instead what happens is this behaviour is over looked and the perpetrators are welcomed with open arms only to do the same again..

Under the 5 evils, you have added 3 more. Make a new category for these, so as not to confuse non-Sikhs who would then count 8 evils instead of 5. Otherwise great job!
