Hazur Sahib was one of the Gurdwara that was outside the SGPC control. Things look much worse with that RSS guy taking over. It's not SGPC that is the issue , it's who controls them and it's the same people that ate now in charge of Hazur Sahib.

Ive written to all main cinemas that show desi flicks in Midlands to boycott, even dropped in mention that there could be violence from some quarters if shown. Also written to sikh council to release a statement condemning it and to encourage uk cinemas not to show. Get on it singho.. this film could set a bad precedent!

Look at the media and see how sikhs are portrayed as drunken,jokey,clowns in most bollywood films. Then look at our own bhangra industry and see how sikh girls are portrayed in them! They all like a good drink, a dance and plenty of male attention. These low life's brainwash our boys and girls! They get close to the sikh boys so they are seen as trustworthy to the sikh girls. Some of our girls have taken the DCS song ek gore chitte jatti menoo kiss karage as gospel! How many muslim girls do you see in these videos? The biggest bhangra label is owned by a muslim! The TV station which promotes the majority of the bhangra songs is owned by a sikh! Our boys and girls are growing up thinking this is what were all about....... Our boys and girls need to be educated. That comes from mum and dad and not the bhangra video! Muslim boys are taught by their dads and their priests what to do. We need to concentrate on our biggest wealth, our children. All these bhangra gigs and promotions are perfect for the muslim predator. They go out of their way to learn aspects of our religion and twist it to use against vulnerable girls and boys! If our children feel vulnerable its because things at home are not good so they are easy prey. If an apna has deceived an apni, she will feel let down and resentful, if a brother/sister asks for help and is laughed at they will feel resentful. Gur Gobind Singh Jee put in place the 5Ks but also stressed the 5 Vices /Dukhs which we must teach. I don't see many videos of successful sikhs acting as role models. Muslim men expect their wife or wives to be virgins otherwise they are rejected, ask your daughters why? Also ask the girls if they would like sharing their husband with his other wives as they can have more than one. And if an apna wants to convert for his muslim girlfriend ask him if she will allow him to have more than one wife............. One thing which is mentioned is that guru nanak said we are all one, there is no muslim and no hindu. Which is correct, but the predators use this against the girls. Teach our children about what the muslim religion has done over the centuries and what their prophets did! The slippery slope goes in both directions. Either the meaning behind the the rehat is completely lost and Sikhs do it like robots and pick and choose(like malfunctioning robots) or they disregard the meaning behind the rehat and stop practing it. I don't fit in either of these groups. I don't support either of these groups although i would lean more towards the group who does it for the fact of doing it at times. Reason and logic should not be disregarded and a person would have respect for rehat when and where it applies.

Some good suggestions here but i m afraid strict dress code implementation all accross the board will make our faith make more exclusive in my opinion-leaving no room for outsiders and someone who is simply not there yet in their stage of their life to commit to strict dress policy. During guru's time, there were multiple darbars of maharaj, sri guru gobind singh ji maharaj had 52 interfaith kavi poet darbar along with gurmat learning darbar with dress codes along with other darbars for raag kirtan, shastarvidya etc. I cannot imagine maharaj main darbar of guru's time had strict dress code policy as history of visitors tells otherwise Most of gurdwara already have multiple halls so what we need to do - leave general main hall assembly of maharaj darbar the way it is-except for few tweaks-signs etc which is does not conflict with our sidhant of inclusiveness. But what we really to need to focus on -learning/dharamshal section or hall of maharaj darbar within gurdwara where these strict dress policy/no cell phones policy are upheld in which deep gurmat is taught, felt, experienced. Once people are drawn towards maharaj in main darbar, people will automatically will be drawn to deeper gurmat. SGPC was set up to gradually destroy Sikhism by the British establishment in 1920s they slowly infiltrated their members before partition and then when partition happened they saved themselves while Sikhs were left to fend for themselves and form armed groups to fight of the threat from british troops guarding trains into their lands which became pakistan and Muslim guard troops of the Indian army. SGPC also drew up a controversial rehat maryada in 1940s which promoted only khalsa's being legitimate Sikhs and most people in power will be jatts in the higher levels and thus the other castes and chamars were sidelined. They knew the Dalit/Chamars formed the vast majority of Sikhs and with those numbers they could form a huge country called Sikhistan/Khalistan but they chose to push Dr Ambedkar into the camp of the buddhists and into hindustan /Indian Union and thus Sikhs got jack all. The SGPC leadership was instrumental in organising operation blue star against sant bhindranwale secretly passing on intelligence to Indian army and co-ordinating where to attack and target while defenceless brave sons, fathers and mothers were left to face bullets and bombs of the Indian troops.Then the anti-sikh riots happened in delhi and SGPC did not threaten any violence in retaliation against what was happening to Sikhs in delhi they just offered to be the middleman in calming down tensions while remaining delhi Sikhs were fleeing to punjab for their lives for safety. Basically most of the SGPC members are freemasons and are stooges of the elites within the Indian / British establishments. There is no hope for SGPC there is no hope for people who will are willing to bow down to corrupt people in power than bow down to Guru Ji and his light and righteous path. The dark side is always more easier to follow because the good side seems to have little reward in this world but after this life is gone they will soon realise who their creator is and why all this world was a test for their soul.

There's a fine line between satkaar for Sikh traditions and making those with disabilities feel like a nuisance or something to be kept hidden away, out of sight. We can be incredibly insensitive and uncaring at times even if the intention wasn't there. Not sure if making a song and dance about it was the right way to go about it though; unnecessary Sikh bashing will inevitably begin.

I am surprised the Nihangs have not reacted to this news. Many Sanatan Nihangs spend a lot of time bashing the SGPC but are silent when the non Sikh BJP/RSS take over Hazur Sahib.

I think part of the blame lies with our tribal jathedars and their PA's. They lack leadership skills and foresight, and as a result make poor decisions which have far reaching consequences for the Panth. There's a letter being shared on Facebook which is apparently from the PA of Giani Gurbachan Singh. The PA appears to give permission and approval on behalf of the jathedars for 'Nanak Shah Fakir.' If they had done their maths and objected to the film at the start then perhaps the damage could have been averted? Instead we are left with protesting against a film which is due to be released imminently, 'with the blessings of Sri Akal Takht.'

Fateh Sadh Sangat Jio - Baba Bolda.... As Sikhs it is the duty of the parents first to teach THEMSELVES SIKHI.... Then teach their kids.....instead of watching bollywood films or the father more concerned about what pub they should go to, and the mothers worry about what new lengha is out.... Then it is the the Gianis and Sikh brothers and sisters job.... Also note as mush as I am against this practice by certian muslims, I don't blame them for taking them away. How when they say Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharraj was a muslim, how can you not answer?
