Thank you for replying. Its nice we can turn to the Sat sangat for support and still stay anonymous. This site is helping our kaum. Its hard to talk about my personal life with sangat at the gurdwara. I feel comfortable staying anonymous. Gupt Sangat has provided that for me and probably many others. Sat Sangat is Guru panth. Reading all the advice from this forum from you and many others to me is the support I needed and I'm glad I can turn to the Guru panth in this time of need. Thank you sister. I will look into a vegetarian diet soon. I think I need to hire a dietitian this time to avoid nutrient deficiency. Like I said before the vegan diet ruined my health. Maybe I did it wrong. Empires are not brought down by external threats, but internal weaknesses. Before we begin some holy crusade against the missionaries (Christian missionaries in this case lol), let's stop and think for a second. Why are they able to target these Sikhs? And what have we (sangat, leaders) done to help them? Our people do nothing to help our brothers and sisters who have a hard life, and yet have the gaul to complain when others come along, help them and convert them to their religion! We first gotta get our house in order. And once we do, these type of missionaries will be easily handled.

This is such trickery. Christians and Muslims are the worst at this and that is why they are the biggest religions around today. There should be a law brought in to stop things like this. Only Sikhs should be allowed to wear a Sikh style turban.

The bhagti that is totally acceptable Waheguru instantly is the one full of pure love and innocence like Naamdev ji, Dhanna bhagat etc. Jin mun hor mukh hor se kadhe kacheya, from sukhmani sahib tells us more about naam jap. Those with something else on their minds while reciting naam will not be accepted in the court of God. A person who is in love with God will not think about other things. This love can be created through regular reading Gurbani and katha to understand the bani hence better concentration and love too for Akaal Purakh. Nothing specific about techniques of naam jap are mentioned. We can do it while sitting standing eating walking etc. Reading from gutka however is better performed while sitting down. Repeating waheguru can be done while going about normal duties.

Singhs in the past were solid in their faith, had large swathes of Bani from SGGS and DG memorised, plus knowledge of Hindu texts and thus did not have a fear of being hinduised which is a more modern mindset. There is nothing at all wrong with mingling with people of different faiths and having discourses, but nowadays, anyone caught talking to a Hindu will probably be accused of being RSS. The big difference between past/present was that Hindu priests were better versed in their scriptures and a mutual respect of each others faith was present, therefore intelligent discussions could be held. Now Hindu priests are at a loss to even explain why they shave their heads when historically their own devi devte and to this day the most advanced of them keep long hair and beards.

If you do not know about DG then why are you claiming that it draws parallel between Hinduism and sikhism and because of DG Hindus can claim sikhism as a sect of Hinduism. You do not make any sense. Veerji I don't understand what you mean by reference book. But what is written in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee is the truth, 100% Sach. I only replied to this thread because as I rightly suspected, the original poster was trying to disprove Dasam Guru Jee's Bani. So that is why I suggested to him to first look within Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee and in the Sri Japji Sahib Bani in the Gian Khand Vaali Pauri where Guru Jee is saying that in the realm of Gian Khand there are many Devs, Danavs, Inders, Kaans and Mahesh. Believing that they exist does not make one a Hindu just as believing that Jesus or Mohammad existed does not make one a Christian or Muslim. I think we take this Hindu Phobia to the extreme to the extent that we say if Gurbani does not fit our pre conceived notions then Gurbani must be wrong but certainly not our pre conceived ideas. In Sukhmani Sahib in the 10th Ashtpadi Guru Arjun Dev Jee while describing Vaheguru Jee's creation says: Kaee Kot Dev Danav Inder Sir Chatar which means there are many crores of Devs Danavs Inders(with a chattar over his head). And even Guru Gobind Singh Jee while telling the true status of these Devi Devtas in the vast and limitless creation of Vaheguru also confirms this when He writes ਕਿਤੇ ਕਿਸਨ ਸੇ ਕੀਟ ਕੋਟੈ ਉਪਾਏ, ਉਸਾਰੇ ਗੜੇ ਫਿਰ ਮੇਟੇ ਬਨਾਏ॥ Vaheguru has Created millions of worms like Krishna. He Creates them then annihilates them, again creates them and again destroys them. Gurbani makes it clear that while these entities that are known as Devi Devtas exist, but they are not supreme God. Only Vaheguru is the Supreme Lord Who has created the seen and unseen universe. Only Vaheguru is worthy of worship. It is heretical for a Sikh to not believe what Gurbani says.

Veer ji, Guru ji says he doesn't recognise them, doesn't remember them, doesn't listen to their praise because his chit is with Akal Purakh's charan. in other words they exist as entities but they have no value in front of Akal Purakh , that is how Guru ji leads us . In Dasam Granth Guru ji has translated the sanskrit to common languages so people can come to know what they were denied knowledge of by pandits, and then Guru ji has given Gurmukh context by telling us who we are dedicated to and how one battles against the tyrants and adharam .The Gods and Goddesses exists in the crodes but they are as nothing for a sikh as his/her dhian is only with Mahakaal, Akal Purakh Waheguru.

Devi Devte do exist. Forget Sri Dasam Granth for a minute. Even in Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee their existence is mentioned. Read Sri Japji Sahib in the Gian-Khand Pauri(Kaitay Kaan Mahesh AND Kaitay Dev Daanav Mun Kete). So in Gian Khand many Devs, Danavs and even many Kaan(Krishan) and Mahesh(Shiv) exist. We cannot comprehend the vastness of Vaheguru's limitless creation. Gurmat does not disprove their existence only that they are not to be worshiped by the Sikhs. Because the subject of a Sikh's worship is the one and only Vaheguru who is the supreme Lord.

Our ancestors do not decide our present identity etc. But on that note the Suraj Vansiya Khalsa Panth states that the son of a Sikh is not a Sikh until he confirms to the tenets of the Khalsa himself. When he begins to do so his ancestry changes to that of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, so yes the Khalsa is descended from Ram Chandra. How does lineage equal belief? Enemies of panth are those who are not able to comprehend writings of Dasam Pita and quote those out of context. Dasam pita's writings are deep and this granth is of khalsa panth. There is no khalsa without this granth and there is sikhi without khalsa. Those who say that benti chaupai is framed by someone else in charitropakhayan are also our enemies. They need to be identified and weeded out from us as they are attacking Amrit sanchar of Khalsa openly now. Whole dasam granth word to word is from pen of Dasam pita.If someone cann't digest it he should follow another religion.What are they doing in sikhi? Why do not they forma another sect? First thing the title is wrong - ram chander isnt a Hindu God - he was a historic Holy king during the treta yug(second age after Satyug) he is worshipped by Hindus in the modern age ----------------- Guru Gobind Singh ji briefly touches on the history of these dynasties and Panjab in Bachittar Natak There have been many dynasties, clans and lineages but at the end of this section describing ancestry, Guru Gobind Singh ji clarifies that they were all influenced by and a slave to maya and caused wars and strife due to their greed and lust.

Where does it say Vishnu is Sargun Saroop of Waheguru? In Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji it say Vishnu fell into egotism. Then why this crooked title of the thread" "Are Sikhs Descendant Of Hindu God Ramchander" Have you seen a Dasam Granth sahib.It is hundred times more critical about these figures than SGGS ji. Well the SGGS mention Brahma, Inder etc so of course they existed, but I doubt they are as idols portry them with numerous arms and heads as far as I'm aware there are no mentions of this in SGGS as that's the ONLY true authentic scripture.

The DG Ji is far more then what you have quoted. In this very forum, we have one poster who justifies Hindu practices by quoting the DG Ji. I sometimes wonder if that poster is a Hindu or a Sikh.
