Can Amrit Sikhs Deal With Ppl With No Belief God?

I was another Sikhi forum....

and i came across the question:

Can Sikhs deal with ppl with no belief in God?

Coz according to:

After taking Amrit you must not:

1. Deal with persons who have no belief in God

2. Take drugs, intoxicants and tobacco in any form

3. Have any faith in magic, superstitions, charms and rituals

4. Have any relations with mines (descendants of Prithi Chand, a brother of Guru Aijan who revolted against his father, Guru Ramdas, to have the Guruship for himself) Dhirmaliaa (descendants of Dhirmal, a grandson of Guru)

And i personally thought that Sikhs are allowed to deal with atheists but dont hang around with ppl who mock God, am i right in thinking this?

ermmm yeah ... if they dont mock god then its just their own thinking of if they wana beleive in god or not.

But you dont want these people to talk you into not beleiving god and how they say god isnt true ...

you should be able to judge if its good or bad sangat

That's not how I would explain about Sikh, personally.

i think we should not keep sangat with those who do not belive in God because we are told in gurbani to keep sangat with sikhs, sant ,babas, etc

but we should still see god in all, we do not need to seek their company, it is easy to avoid getting into that situation

I can understand that Gurbani tells us to company the holy...

but does Gurbani specifically say dont deal with none-believers in the Lord?

Whatever sangat you do, it will have an effect on your mind.

Imagine a big rock in a cave. Its so tough that no matter how much u hit it with a sledge hammer it wont break. THere is are drops of water falling onto this rock..

Come back many years later, the rock has defaced. Why? How? Due to the little drops of water, continuosly and slowly wearing the rock away.

No matter how strong your mind is (rock), sangat with particular types of people will have that affect on your mind (water driping) slowly wearing away your bhagti.

I think you're allowed to deal with them ie speak to them etc but don't think you're meant to be in constant company of them.

If we weren't allowed to speal to atheists, then I'd have a major problem because I'm training to be a doctor, so need to deal with people of all faiths, including that of non-faith.
