just out of curiosity, can anyone change the two miri piri talwars to two ak-47 rifles?

a groups of us were talking about it in class about how good the nagar keertan was and how one of them wanted a hoody which had "defenders of the faith" writen.

at the back was a khanda but not with the two miri piri, instead two ak-47 rifles.

just wandering, can anyone actually change the kahnda sign like that?

Its a 20th century design so I do not see why it would be of great concern if you used AK47. Although the AK47 is a rather old design now so why not use a modern weapon like the HK416, FN SCAR-H , Micro-Galil, AK 101, XM8,  or even the SIG 552 Commando.

Sounds ok, in moderation... just refelcting the times and change of standard weapons, as long as the ppl wearing it know what the meaning is - it's all good.

well our "khanda" in the truest sense is just the double edged sword, not the chakar and kirpans around it.

even our now accepted symbol we call khanda is a farily recent design.

in my opinion, any combination of weapons should be perfectly fine in contructing the "khanda" symbol.

Plz People The Khanda Is such a beautiful Symbol ...which represents Sikhi in every respect ....the Two Kirpans(piri and Miri) are nt just Symbols OF Weapons but Represent the balance between the Worldly and the Spiritual World...and then the Defender Message that it Proclaims is so much abt Sikhi....Dont even think it Shud be changed just because it looks Modern in those rifles ...those rifles will never be able to appeal the real message of Sikhi and Might as well Demean the Symbol...I know this is nt a serious topic of Discussion ...but i just took it a little seriously.

Just research on the Khnada Symbol a little More and ull find out that it is one of the Most Meaning Full Symbol of ny Religeous Symbols...so many messages and meanings in just One Symbol.

No Harsh Feelings against anyone.
