" You place your stone god before yourself, but your mind wanders in the ten directions. You apply a ceremonial tilak mark to its forehead, and fall at its feet. You try to appease the people and act blindly. You perform the six religious rituals, and sit wearing your loin-cloth. In the home of the wealthy, you read the prayer book. You chant on your mala and beg for money. No one has ever been saved in this way, friend. He alone is a Pandit, who lives the Word of the Guru's Shabad. Maya, of the three qualities, leaves him. The four Vedas are completely contained within the Lord's Name. Nanak seeks His Sanctuary". (Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, page 888).

It's a shame that the thousands of Sikhs that live in Southall and no doubt in other areas of the UK, don't take the values of Sikhi that seriously. Countless hindufied singhs walk into the mandir on Lady Margaret Road, they even do it while the Nagar Kirtan takes place for Vasakhi. One of the worst things is that I see so called Sikh parents taking their young children to the mandir. As the years have gone by the very same children go to the mandir more than they go to the gurdwara. This shows that these thicko parents don't truely believe in Sikhi. I've head a few gossip bags gossi.gif at the Gurdwara and they believe that it is good to the mandir, because you just don't know :D: . Anyways, when I see these kind of people going to the mandir, I say to them that the Gurdwara is only a few yards away in whatever direction as there are so many. Some give a dirty look back, some smile and some don't say anything. It's the best way to make them feel ashamed. So many misguided bibis(in particular) go to to see the pandits located in the house next to the mandir,WHY because they have powers of course!Yeah right. There are so many women who believe in them and use them to see whether their son or daughter is compatible for marraige on the basis of their stars, curing illness, blah blah you know the drill. They need to be slapped up. hit.gif

How dumb can supposed "Sikhs" be???????????

Why do they try to mix up Sikhi with hindu things???????

When will they learn that they are insulting GuruJi??????????????????

Why dont they just go be a full time hindu??????????????????????????

Why do they like Sikhi when they would rather be a hindu????????????????

What will make them go be a hindu while on their downward spiral rather than misleading Sikhs??????????

Those hinduised Sikhs put this sign up in their religious life.

I feel the same way. How this quote is related to "sikhs are not hindus?"

The above quote is about hypocrite people...and they exist in every religion of the world. Sikhs are no exceptions.

Very rarely Sikhs understand Guru Granth Sahib...otherwise they treat Him/Her like a book. People just wear bana without understanding the responsibility behind it. People do pathh and other "religious things" without connecting with God. There are granthis who do pathh only for money...and they always speak the language of the rich people.

Hypocrisy is everywhere my friend.
