The Gurmukh understands, and does not suffer the disease.

Evolution

Sikhism suggests evolution

The Lord Himself directs the evolution of the world of the five elements; He Himself infuses the five senses into it.

This is the Bani of the Supreme Being; through it, one dwells within the home of his inner being. ||40||

bhan bhan gharreeai gharr gharr bhajai dtaahi ousaarai ousarae dtaahai ||

Shattering and breaking apart, He creates and re-creates; creating, He shatters again. He builds up what He has demolished, and demolishes what He has built.

sar bhar sokhai bhee bhar pokhai samarathh vaeparavaahai ||

He dries up the pools which are full, and fills the dried tanks again. He is all-powerful and independent.

Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji ang 935

Science also agrees with evolution.

Tabacco

Sikhism forbids the use of tabacco.

The last prophet of the Sikhs Guru Gobind Singh Ji made a rule that all Sikhs are not permitted to Smoke.

The Tenth prophet of the Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh Ji , when traveling by the woods, got

of his horse upon the sight of a Tombacoo Plant (Tobacco Plant). He then drew

his Kirpan (holy Sword) and chopped it up, then with his feet he smeared it into

the ground. Onlookers belonging to many different religions, asked the 10th prophet,

why have you destroyed that plant? The Tenth prophet replied:

" Alcohol will destroyeth one Generation, But Tombacoo will destroyeth many

generations"

In 1699 Guru Gobind Singh Ji announced that all Sikhs must take a aoth at his baptism (Amrit ceromany) that they will abstrain from tabacco.

This is also in the Rehit Maryada, Sikh the code of conduct, as a Kurahat as one of the four misdeeds.

Science also agrees with Sikhism that tabacco can kill. As scientists also discoevered second hand smoking kills thus damaging (killing or destroying) fetus's and destroying lives of children, grand children, great grand children and friends.

Alcohol

Sikhism forbids alcohol.

he cannot distinguish between his own and others, and he is struck down by his Lord and Master.

Drinking it, he forgets his Lord and Master, and he is punished in the Court of the Lord.

jhoot(h)aa madh mool n peechee jae kaa paar vasaae ||

Do not drink the false wine at all, if it is in your power.

O Nanak, the True Guru comes and meets the mortal; by His Grace, one obtains the True Wine.

Science also agrees with Sikhism as alcohol can damage the liver and cause liver cancer, mouth cancer and much more.
