Keith Vaz MP has had ample time to raise an early day motion about the treatment of Shilpa Shetty on big brother. What about an early day motion for the release of Paramjit Singh (and the others falsely arrested and tortured) ? Yes Paramjit Singh may not live in his constituency but neither does Shilpa Shetty and the underlying issues surrounding the false arrest and torture is one that concerns all the Gursikhs of Leicester.

Gursikhs of Leicester contact MP Vaz and ask him to table an early day motion on the issue of these 3 Singh.

The Sikh Fed should also be pressing the two Wolverhampton MPs to do something similar.

Its disgusting how the indian state is playing its devious games!

Geeting into a huff and a puff because they called the actress an indian! but leaving a trail of murder and rape based on its own racist agenda!!

This is great news for them as any media coverage we were trying to get for those singhs will now be over run with this silly racism issue!

but as kurtas said, lets keep being proactive and do what we can!

OMG !!!!!!!!

Im furious!!!!

Just watching ITV news and the reporter said that the 'racism' towards the actress could damage UK relations and trade worth millions with india!!!!

How can britain fall to its knees like a dog begging for scraps when india gets upset over some coments made by some inbred chavs, but do nothing to listen to us its own citizens who for 20 plus years have been askin britain to ask india to become responsible for its actions against sikhs, muslims, low caste hindus and christians living in india!

just goes to show how desperate this country is for money from trade!

Some good points by ‘Kurtas’ Veer Jee there for Leicester Sangat to consider.

I believe all three Wolverhampton MP's are being urged to intervene in the matter exceedingly, naturally due to Bhai Paramjeet Singh being a Wolverhampton constituent…in addition to over 200 other MP’s, all MEP’s, high ranking executives such as Chancellor Gordon Brown, Canadian Executive, Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty and internationally to all main Human Rights Groups. Probably more is going on in the background, but we can confirm this from press releases and personal understanding…

Remember your votes count , when elections come these MP's come begging for votes and when the community needs them they are no where to be found. Make sure you hold these MP's accountable if they fail to raise any questions for the alleged ill treatment and false charges placed on these 3 individuals.

Although I do agree that there is a case of racist fracas within the BB household, it is unfortunate that this news will overshadow any potential media coverage of the 3 Sikhs. At least within the immediate Sikh media (internet, radio, newspapers, tv) coverage of the case of the 3 Sikhs must maintain top billing.

papooo thinks more sikhs are worried bout slipa shittey than 3 sikh brothers being tortured.

It’s driven by the media coverage and media exposure. The average Joe blogg Punjabi man does not still know enough about the atrocities of Punjab, therefore can’t (or won’t) relate to the wrongful arrest of the 3 Sikhs.

That's why it's up to each of us to increase the profile of this case and any other case. Tap into any media source that you have, even your local Sunday Gurdwara sangat or relatives who still do not know enough about this case. Are there any videos of Paramjit Singh Dhadhi and his Jatha? Show them to the sangat and then show the anguish his family are going through, so that Mr and Mrs average punjabi can relate to the case. We need to get cleverer with palying the media game!
