A characteristic of spoken Punjabi is how we use a word and to degrade it we change the vowel to a longer vowel

An example

Main ni jaan da ko Preeti Prooti nu? I don't know anyone called Preeti ( chances are you do but you want to refer to her in a bad way)

Using the a word from two different sources ( languages) in the same sentence

Jal Pani da parbandh karo

i think kushki means dryness
