Here is the latest from Punjab.

It has been observed since yesterday morning ie 18th morning (India time) that various indian news channels had started to report very less about the situation in Punjab and had started concentrating on trying to show the DSS as the 'victim ' instead.Almost all channels were giving out the DSS viewpoint and the faces of DSS dogs like Aditya were seen giving the DSS viewpont and clarification by the saadh.

Channels including the so called Punjabi channel : zee punjabi did not report from the venue of the antim sanskaar of Bhai Kamaljit Singh..the first Sikh shaheed of the current struggle .Many senior panthic leaders attended the funeral.

As it is the media had been observing a sort of news blackout since yesterday morning but in the mean time the Hyderabad mosque blast took place and at the moment the media is concentrating on that blast and the dera issue is no longer the main issue in the electronic media.

There were anti DSS protests yesterday also in Punjab.For the whole report please read Rozanaspokesman online .Rozanaspokesman newspaper has been the only pro Sikh newspaper so far.

It is the same spokesman which is the target of badal dal and "pujaris"(so called jathedars).So much so that badal dal doesnt give any advertisement to this newspaper .On the other hand 'punjab dee awaaz :Ajit' is the one which carried photos of the DSS saadh which has led to to the present turmoil in Punjab.The advertisement of DSS saadh was inserted in Ajit ,perhaps for a very hefty sum of money.

As regards the situation in Punjab today ie 19-5-2007 very little is being given out in the media but there is a Jalandhar bandh going on at the moment .The GT road has been blocked by the Sikhs .

Rest of today's situation will perhaps not be known till Spokesman prints it .

At least in my village near Muktsar in the malwa region there is no seperate "JATT SIKH GURDWARA" or shamshaan ghaat .

However,some months back Sardar Simranjit Singh Maan had openly told a huge gathering of the Sikh sangat at Talwandi Sabo to do away with seperate Gurdwaras and shamshaan ghaats in various villages of the Malwa region .So Sikhs are against this type of seperation.In this huge gathering badal dal and BJP were playing politics whereas Sardar Maan was talking about religious issues like 2-2 gurdwaras and shamshaan ghats in a single village .

Why dont you think the other way .Isnt it possible that the rift between Jatt Sikhs and others has been widened ever since these deras have raised their head in rural Punjab ?

Now the badal dal has been trying to hijack this agitation and even the media is calling the protesting Sikhs as Akalis .It is perhaps for this reason that a true Sikh like Sardar Maan has been branded as a congress supporter by badal dal and BJP .Not only this a case of sedition has been clamped on Sardar Maan and he has been put in jail .But the Sikhs have now started openly confronting the badal dal leaders on the spot saying we are Sikhs and not Akalis or Congressmen .This same thing was noticed when the "soft" hukamnama at the behest of badal govt was being read at Talwandi Sabo .Sikhs openly defied the soft approach of Vedanti .Now Sikhs are openly raising anti badal govt slogans at various anti Dera protests .

Badal govt has again tried to play politics with the Sikh sentiments and has been able to give a "soft" hukamnama from the Akal Takht pujari.But this time a large section of the Sikh sangat has understood and all eyes are focused on 21 May,2007 when the deadline for the DSS saadh expires and the decision on further course of action is to be decided by the Takht pujaris .This time again if the hukamnama is a soft one or an eye wash then badal govt should be prepared for the consequences .

well this is the call advertisement published in newspaper by shri akal takth sahib calling all sikhs to reach guru ki kashi .... which includes udasin sampardas .... and i dont think so akal takth was willing to call any non sikhs ... hope u got it this time ....
