Should Nindaks Be Killed?

Singhs are still out there, waiting for the time to come. Why isn't Gurmeet raam raheem dead, why is it that people are still doing nindhia of our guru, ITS BECAUSE WE ARE A SLEEP.

just picking up on a quote I read on the shaheed samagam post. if someone does the nindya of our guru do people believe they should be killed? when do we draw the line on issuing a death sentance or forgiving a person? what are the sangats views on this?

The original quote that was quoted asked if we are asleep. Well, no, if we were asleep, then we would get angry at every bad word and start killing people for it, i.e. sleep-walking into Islamic-like Sikh Fundamentalism.

I want to be a Sikh disciple when I am able to be suitably blessed, not a Sikh fanatic.

A Sikh's call-to-arms comes when the people are oppressed, not when some "laraku" people become offended by the admittedly-reprehensible tactics of cults and other religions.

since when did we get the right to decide, or even debate, on who lives and who dies?

i see ur point. but ultimatley individuals are reponsible for their own actions too. i suppose the question is when is an action of killing a good deed or a bad deed? Can a nindak be compared to a tyrant? if a tyrant has committed gross acts of human violations i can see a valid case for assinating him/her but what about a nindak, is that in the same category?

hypothetically speaking, if some person came and swore at my guru, should the reaction be greater or equal to the reaction of tyrant killing a 1000 people.

In many cases reactions are influenced by the people around you and also how high level the actual issue is or what personal gain can be achieved by the reaction. That is why you will find a strong reaction to one issue and a non reaction to an almost identical issue,. How some influential people/groups express their emotions will influence the reactions of others.

But going back to your original point, from what I can remember in various Rehatnamas, we are encouraged to form a disassociation with “nindaks” as a pose to any issuing of death sentences etc.

Datu, son of Guru Angad Dev Ji, went to Guru Amardas Ji Maharaaj and was like "You were a lil crappy servant of the house until yesterday and how dare you chillax as the Master?!".

He then kicked the old Guru Sahib Ji, throwing him off his throne. Guru Amar Das in his utter humility started caressing Datu's foot saying; "I'm old. My bones are hard. You may have been hurt."

Was Guru ji too weak to fight? Or did he not feel the need to fight back? Or was he humble?

Sikhs should be asked the question: How much of the Guru are you?

AND how can a nindak be in the same category as a tyrant?! That's like comparing a cussing match to murder blink.gif lol

Nindaks have been alive EVER SINCE the Guruship of Dhan Dhan Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaj! What happened to them? Did Bhai Lehna Ji become Angry like all these (maaf karna) sikhi-started-from-84 Sikhs?

These beloved Nindaks pay their lekha infront of Dharamraj (Read Sukhmani Sahib!) so why should we bother?

On the other hand - TYRANTS are a different story. Mehtab Singh's quote is neccessary for this..

and remember: Guru Ji gave Hari Chand 3 arrows to fire at him 1st.

1 missed+ hit his horse. 2nd skimmed his ear,

but when the 3rd 1 hit him..

jabbe baan laageyo - TABBE ROS JAAGEYO!!!

HARRI CHAND MAARE.. SOH JODA LATAARE!!

RANANG JEET AYE.. JAYANG GEET GAYE!!
