oh common

this is so childish differnce, its obvious that different religions have different scriptures, languagea, prayers, manta etc

If you talk to me like that when I'm trying to help, then I won't reply in this thread anymore. You are my friend, Jagjit, and I'm trying to understand what exactly you want. Please be courteous. Thank you!

If Sikhism, is the true religion, how come it was created/revealed 300 years ago, and not at the beginning of time?

Which religion was created at the beginning of time? Only God existed at the beginning of time and while Sikhism accepts that spiritual progress was open to human beings for many years prior to the arrival of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, only after Guru Nanak Dev Ji came to this world did the pure merger (in Sach Khand) between our soul and God become possible for all, as the Name of God and the Scriptures of God (gurbani) were revealed.

Humans have existed for tens of thousands of years. They existed in North America and Asia with established cultures 10,000 years ago. That is much before any modern religion. What must have become of those poor souls?

If we accept the Islamic approach, we have one shot at life. If we're a success we go to Paradise and if not, we go to Dozak/Hell. But that leaves a lot of questions.

Is God perfectly Just and fair? If he is, then why are some people born Muslims and other born in other religions? Those people born in other religions will have a much greater struggle and test to become Muslims than those born in Muslim homes. But at the end, the reward is the same: Paradise. So why do some people have to work so much harder for the same result that others earn much more easily? It's not fair.

What about babies that are still born and die in the womb? What about babies that die shortly after birth? What purpose did their life have? Why would God create them and let them die so soon? Their life didn't have any real 'meaning' and they faced no real tests nor did they have the opportunity to embrace a faith.

Finally, going back to the question, what about the millions of people that came before Islam or the Semitic religions or even now, the millions of people that will never be exposed to Islam? Why are they treated so unfairly? What will become of them?

Sikhism has the answer to all these questions. The soul proceeds on a path through many lives. When it is ready, it finds Sikhism and is able to be liberated through meditation on Naam. If someone is good but hasn't received Naam, then maybe in their next life they will be given the opportunity. No one is consigned to eternal Hell. Those souls that came before Sikhism were on a path preparing themselves to receive the divine revelation. As they become ready, they will now get the opportunity to learn of Sikhism and be saved.

As for your questions about Guru Nanak: Mohammed was not born a "Muslim" and Christ was not born a Christian. Guru Nanak was born in a Hindu household but did not accept any Hindu ritual even in childhood including the 'sacred thread', etc. Guru Nanak tells how he was summoned to God's court and assigned the duty of spreading Naam and being God's messanger. The ang (page) with one example of such a verse is 150. Guru Nanak then took this divine message further than any other "Prophet". He travelled as far as China, Sri Lanka. Russia and Turkey. He may have travelled farther but historical proofs exist for the countries mentioned.

Guru Nanak's companion, Mardana was indeed a Sikh. The story of how he became a Sikh and the conditions he accepted are also recorded. In fact, when he died, he was cremated by Guru Nanak. If he were Muslim, he would have been buried.

Guru Nanak coined the phrase "Sikh" and used it to describe those on the Path of "Gurmat".

As for revealing the "holy book", Guru Nanak's verses are the "holy book". As he was receiving them, he wrote them in his own hand. What further proof does one need?

In terms of Maharaj, Sikhi, like most eastern paths, looks within..islam looks outwards....

for islam, God is like a third person, as in he is not a part of evrything, he is seperate from his creation...

but for sikhi, we and God are one. all one energy

Thats a BIG differnce.

The previous answer was a fairly accurate representation of the key principles that represent human existence.

Additionally, humans are still evolving.

Whether it is genetic, social, cultural or spiritual.

Human existence on this earth has been so far a play, but also a play that must naturally run its course.

Semetic Religions condemn all humans to hell at the end of life.

The Sikh path does not condemn humans at all, rather it says all will return to the Source (Ocean) from which they originate (Droplets).

Suffering is an oft repeatedly used term that is commonly incorrectly applied to mean 'human suffering', rather than 'spiritual seperation' its True definition within Spiritual context.

That which we perceive to be human suffering is part of our natural evolution.

In the last century about 180 million people perished in war, drought, genocide, famine, disease, torture, etc.

The human awakening in this century is rapidly increasing.

The Semetic religions state that the World Shall come to an end.

This is a mis-translation of their original verse.

In fact the True statement is that the Spirit of the Previous Saints will exist with humanity when the world comes of 'age'.

This age is now, or rather soon upon us.

We are experiencing in the West a massive shift in human conscious.

This new conscious is growing exponentially as people realise the mundane form of existence that humanity has previous experienced. There is no room for these patterns of human treachery in the new age.

The state of the Khalsa will rise in the West, and there its seed has been planted.

The State of Khalsa is one of Pure Potentiality and necessarily represents the Spiritual Awakening occuring in the west today.

"There is nothing more powerful than an idea who's time has come".

It is coming, where peace shall endure on this planet for 5000 years.

*references are not all inclusive, and the above is the expression of my personal opinion. I do not believe in prophecies, but evolution appears to be influenced by human imagination

In regards to Protons, Nuons, and Quarks,

"They are not only stranger than we think they are, they are stranger than we can THINK"

Implying that the Universe is susceptible to change based upon human thought.

If so this statement may be profound telling of human creation:

Max Planck: Nobel in Physics works on Atom; as he accepted his nobel prize…

“As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clear headed science to the study of matter, I can tell you as the result of my research about atoms this much: there is no matter as such… All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter.”

The Lord can shape the Universe in whatever way the Lord desires.

IT is through the Lord's Creative potency that the Sikh path was revealed to humanity. One must imagine a world in which Saints, Bhagats, and Enlightened beings did not come into the world, and examine their own interpretation of how the world would have played out.

Yet we know by the Virtue of the fact that we are Still here, molded into a Spiritual consciousness revealed by Shabad Guru that our Lives are Full of Purpose.

This Purpose is Self Realisation through Divine Guidance.

Bhai Gurdas ji tells us that the “VaHeGuRu Mantra” is sourced from the four ages of man and beyond. To recite it To do the tapasia of all four ages.

The Word Allah is derived from Allak a moon god deity.

Not to promote a playground mentality, just something that came to mind. Case closed.

I'm not so sure about that, Kharku.

Jesus once said... "Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence. Love others as well as you love yourself.

Mohammed once said... "Where one is present, God is the second,

and where there are two, God is the third."
