Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

Firstly, I would like to say, there is no word to describe the Sikh Channels greatness!

It is the first channel to spread the TRUTH!

I wanted to ask, what time will the Jagowale Jatha, be on? Will it be live or not? Please PM me, when the Jagowale will be showing.

Lastly, on any other day, will there be anything to do with Fire in Gurdwara Bow 09? 1978 Massacre, 1984 anti-Sikh riots?

Please PM me, I have many material you may want to broadcast via Sikh Channel.

Gurfateh,

Khalistan Zindabad.

I am sure the Sikh Channel aims to cater for all age ranges therefore I believe some animated Sikh itihaas shows would be good for children or maybe story telling as Roop Singh from Leeds used to do. Even cartoon shows given examples of what children should do when faced with situations arising due to Western culture would be helpful. I am sure their are Sikh animators/students who could make such shows a reality.

Maybe Gatka and shastar shows would be of interest too (Although care needs to be taken on who is selected for these types of programmes. I am sure people out there trying to promote their own agendas would love to get the air time...UK sangat likely know who I'm refering too)

Singh#, we will PM you shortly and are very interested in what content you have to contribute. Jago Wale will be live from 6.50pm on Saturday evening. There will be talk about Bow Gurdwara and the 1984 massacres throughout the day so please tune in. We have parchaaraks in English and Punjabi to get the message accross. Roop Singh will also be featured on the channel very soon.

BiggChan, thanks for your post as well. We will be looking into animation etc but as im sure you can appreciate, animation is a time consuming and specialised skill however, it is in our agenda to produve.

Like the idea about gatka and shastar shows too. We will be very careful about who we select on the channel. There are many people in the UK who know a lot about Sikh weaponery and the arts so we have a selection to choose from, not any single person.

Wonderful sewa by sikh channel, I can see there is now chance to create employment from a whole new industry opening up with Sikh related products and services from this. We can get animators to create cartoon products for kids, presenters to be given a chance to do live shows and news programs/documentaries. The possibility for new jobs to be created around this channel is a very positive development for the British Sikh community.

Thank you again on behalf of the sevadars on the Sikh Channel. The post above is very true and its what we are aiming for. We already have internships opening up for work on the Sikh Channel.

By the way, to the Gursikh asking about subtitlng, its one of our top top priorities at the moment and we have sevadars in the background working on this.

In addition, we would also like to make clear that EVERYONE regardless of being amrit dhaari or not can help on the channel in some way or form. There is plenty to do so please dont feel this channel is for Amrit dhaaris only. One of our main aims is to bring people into Sikhi who are not already working towards a pure Gursikhi jeevan. So please dont feel left out in any way shape or form if you are not amrit dhaari or dont keep kesh. We have plenty of seva for you to help with and the guys who are working around the clock voluntarily on the channel, are ready to welcome you.

The possibilities are limitless. May be the moderators can make this topic a sticky or create another with sangats requests and ideas. I would love to see some documentaries in the future especially on the likes of the Sikligar Sikh community, Khalsa Aid and Gurudwara Yatras especially Gurudwaray in far off places such as South and Central America, the Carribean, Far East etc. If you need to send some one to these countries to film...I suppose I can take the time out lol
